Hey, do the Penn State fans still chant "We want the lion!" and "We are...Penn State!" followed by "Thank you...You're welcome!" They clearly don't still have the one: "When I say Joe Pa you say Terno...Joe Pa...Turno!" :D

I hope the students don't do that stupid claw dance when the roar is sounded. I did it because you had to, but that was lame way back in '94.
Only heard "We are - Penn State!" And the song, "Fight on, State." Great experience!

90% of my post suggests otherwise, yet you continue to solely focus on Kyler and Kliff... that's just weird, but whatever... :biglaugh:
You literally said you gave them up when they extended Kyler & Kliff lmao. That’s amazing the other 15 horrible seasons didn’t do it for you.

Right... and then I "literally said": The truth though was that the allure of being at the game, which involved a 50 min drive each way - sometimes longer, and putting up with a large and ever-growing population of drunken fools and fights, as well as large amounts of opposing fans, had finally wore me out.

Followed by several more comments pointing to my dissatisfaction with the fan experience. Had the Cards not extended Kliff and Kyler, I might've held on to see what the alternatives were to be... or not. ;)

I truly believe the NFL as a whole, has a problem with respect to gameday experiences. I recently attended a NY Giants game and it was horrendous. And after being a Cardinals season ticket holder for 20 years, I gave them up 3 years ago when they re-signed both Kliff and Kyler. The truth though was that the allure of being at the game, which involved a 50 min drive each way - sometimes longer, and putting up with a large and ever-growing population of drunken fools and fights, as well as large amounts of opposing fans, had finally wore me out. The Kliff and Kyler extensions were the final nail in that coffin...

IMHO, attending NFL games pales in comparison to the TV experience. I don't feel this way about college games. I LOVE attending ASU games. This year I attended games at Penn State and SMU and they too were loads of fun with great camaraderie pre-game and in the stands. The complete opposite of NFL games where you literally feel as though your head needs to be on a swivel and you're in constant self-protection mode.
The final 6 years of my Cards season ticket experience were spent in the Club Level. The food was decent, but along with the beer, tremendously overpriced. And, virtually every game of the 6 years in the Club Level there were tons of empty seats, not only in my section but in many other Club Level sections.

I don't know if my perspective is felt by others...and I don't know what the NFL, or the teams can do to remedy the problems I see. But coughing up my season tickets, though gut-wrenching, was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made!
Completely agree about much of what you’ve posted 82. Live sporting events are, for me, just really not worth the trouble any more. The “at home, hi-def TV, proximate fridge and bathroom, watch in my comfies” experience is just too good. Plus, I simply cannot stand the in-between nonsense aimed at the younger fan such as too loud, obnoxious “influencers” who’re paid to scream and shout over the stadium video boards during every timeout in a lame way to fire up the crowd, the insanely loud hip hop that blasts from speakers during every stoppage of play, the annoying cheesecake hostesses who invariably oversee some inane contest during halftime or between periods/quarters of the matchup, and everything else that’s designed to make live attendance “value added.” I understand the need for these things given that staying home has so many advantages and I also get it that the above mentioned are not targeted towards me given my age (I’m 61), but I greatly miss the days when attending a game was all about the game and not about the accompanying fol de rol. Oh, and while I’m at it, get off my lawn!

MadJack the Banner Guy here. You may remember some of the 195 banners I created for the past 27 years at every home game?

I too bailed out on season tix three years ago after 30 years (!) season ticket holder!

I’m feeling totally redeemed that I made the right decision now and question why anyone would continue to support this joke of a team and organization. Kicking out 1200 south end zone hard core fans for pricey casitas was the epitome of greed and disrespect!

Supporting the Cardinals was a big part of my life and the friends I met and tailgating was awesome. So yeah I miss that aspect but good lord they suck and will always suck under Bidwill IMHO.

MadJack.

We still miss your banners when we look up where they used to hang in the stadium. Much respect to you and yours and am glad you are happy with YOUR decision to bail on the team, but there is no reason for you to bash on those of us who have not bailed on going to the games and supporting our team. To each their own.

Just fitting that Dobbs gets to come in and give us the beat down.
the dink and dunk / mobile qb combo has given our defense problems this year - especially when a quality run game is involved - forces us to count on our guys upfront - forces us to bring budda up too

Niners certainly showed up ready to play last week. Even with half their impact players out, I expect them to be tough.
I actually expect this to be a very good game. I think it will be very hard fought. I hope it is as good as the last game of 2011 against Seattle when both teams were 7-8 and fighting to not be in last place. It was as intense as a playoff game with some hard hitting. This is the game where Fitz took a brutal shot to the ribs. Went to the sidelines and spit out blood. Goes back in and makes what I would argue was probably the greatest catch of his career. It got us in FG range and we won 23-20 in OT.
