Are they a tough match up for us ...yes but its the playoffs all match ups are tough. If you think we don't have a chance against them based off them playing their starters against our backups most of the game and running the score up, well then thats your right its just silly to base an opinion off of. Did we not kick the Vikings ass? How did GB look against the Vikes? To believe we can't beat this team is silly. They have not seen our real offense and full game plan and it will benefit us, also you think our D is going to play as vanilla as they did yesterday? This team will be ready to go on Sunday and have PROVEN they can get it done when it matters in the playoffs, again the Pack can't say the same! What exactly has Rodgers done in the playoffs? They played full bore so they could let Rodgers break some of Favres records pretty petty if you ask me. And it may cost them showing alot of their playbook to beat our backups!
We hadn't done anything in the playoffs before last season yet we made it to the super bowl. I don't see the Packer lack of playoff experience being that big a deal.

I was just about to make a vBookie on the over/under for the same IP address.

:D

They were two different guys but ClayMatthews already had two accounts and one was posing as a Cardinal fan.

I really have zero patience for no life mouth breathers who spend their time trying to troll other boards.

I've got nothing to hide. You know where my allegiances lie.

And for those wondering, no, I don't know the OP of this thread.

Your initial post was good but too smack laden. That is why it was moved to the Smack Shack. I encourage you to stay and discuss football.

Proper Internet Forum and Message Board Etiquette

Avoid Trolling. A troll is someone who posts topics on message boards with the sole purpose of instigating argument or debate. It is definitely an etiquette no-no and will earn you the disrespect of everyone on the forum. It is usually easy to identify a troll after they've been on the boards a few weeks.

I'm breaking the flow here, but my official Arizona Cardinals 2009 NFC West Division CHAMPIONS sweatshirt just came in the mail.

I would not be telling the truth if I said that the Packers appear to have all the momentum coming into this game. Remember momentum was a huge deal for us once the playoffs started last year. I think there are some very troubling things about this team going into the game.

Having said that, I don't think we showed our hand in the game Sunday. This team rose to the occasion last year. I have a feeling this team is going to come out punching the Packers in the mouth.

The point of forums is to argue, debate, or discuss. My initial post, while admittedly smack-laden, held a few key facts into why I think the Packers have the opportunity to win - and win big - this weekend. Facts that have historically proven to be indicators of playoff success. If I made claims too outlandish to be considered in the realm of possibility, please let me know.

Let me ask you then Dan do you feel like your team is just so much better than us? Do you think you played the real Cardinals yesterday...you know the team that punked the Vikes a few weeks ago? You think your team is just going to roll over us? Just curious how much Pack fans actually think we are the same team they have played both times this season. I mean a real football fan would know that we have yet to play a meaningful game and that your starters beat up on our backups.

Well... Packer fans are not as cool as Panther or Falcons fans, that's clear very early.

Let the douchebaggery proceed.

Okay, I went back and read through the rest of your thread.

Most all of your claims about how great individual Packers players are were over the top. But, this one was especially abusrd:

If I were Wisenhunt, I would double or triple, hell, even quadruple block Matthews. That might not even do it.

Yeah, Clay Matthews can't even be stopped by quadruple teams. :doi:

If you are really looking for decent debate, making absurd claims like that is not the way to go. I'm guessing you know that, however.

ok, u won the game 33-7
big score bla bla
we sucked, fine.

comes next Sunday, it's totally new game, unrelated.
Cards win by 1pt, who cares
will you brag that u beat us in wk 17 when there was nothing to play for?

you guys are missing the point
nothing is taken from yesterday's game into next week
Coach is not worried, players are not worried, and fans are not worried either!

You beat us in playoffs, yes, you outplayed us fair & square. So wait till this happens
but having those wild celebrations and thinking next game is already locked, I am sorry but you are WRONG.

I watched that Cards-Vikes game. In fact, I've watched the last six Cards games. I took the liberty of buying NFL Game Rewind (for $15... a recommendation to any NFL fan) to be able to watch any NFL game over the past two years on NFL.com in its entirety.

I'm sorry, but the Cardinals simply do not match up well with the Packers.

Your special teams outclasses ours, but Warner is going to have to have a day similar to the way Big Ben played us a few weeks back, or it's just not going to happen. Even a perfect game by Ben required last second heroics to steal a victory.

I'm not allowed to post links yet, but check out ColdHardFootballFacts.com and look at the quality statistic entitled "Defensive Passer Rating". It's an aggregate of all statistics accumulated against a given defense through the course of the year, essentially creating one "QB" out of those numbers. The Vikings finished the season ranked 28th. At last check, we were 3rd. You will not be able to move the ball with the same efficiency through the air that you did against the Vikes, nor will you be able to run on the best run defense in football the way you did against the EJ Henderson-less Vikes.

They took it to us twice this year, but both the Vikes team that won those games and the Packers team that lost them have evolved to two completely different entities now, as a result of their loss of Henderson to go sideline to sideline in run support, the Packers shoring up their offensive line, and the 3-4 defense hitting its stride (coupled with Woodson having one of the best defensive seasons for any player in recent memory).

Can the Cardinals win? Sure. But if both teams bring their best on both sides of the ball, the Packers WILL win. Winning 7 of 8 coming into that game does a lot for the confidence.

The two games versus the Cards mean next to nothing, but we won ten more without them, which is one more than you guys did, without the benefit of SF, Seattle, and St. Louis a total of 6 times.

I admitted in the smack forum that I had a bit of fun. Clearly no NFL player should be quadruple teamed, but I did intend to convey that Bridges can't block Matthews one-on-one. He simply can't.

I was referring more to the meaningful statistics that impact the results of playoff games. I mean, we COULD all of a sudden start turning the ball over. But I really doubt it.

Clay Matthews is half of Jared Allen. RB/TE chip and he's done lmao.

or if the NFL ever gets serious about PED's he and buddy Brian Cushing will either shrink or get banned from the league.

Geez, rough bunch around here.

not really Dan we just don't like phony people pretending to be Cards fans.

If you come on here and be yourself and be honest you won't have problems. If you pretend to be something you're not just to drum up conversation, people will call you on it.

Which is what that one guy did, under multiple names apparently.

Well check your facts because SF beat us 2 times so, and don't act like getting to beat up on Bears, Lions isn't similar to Rams and Seattle! We won 10 games and you won 11 with us basically forfeiting the one yesterday. We are evenly matched and for you to assume you will be able to move the ball as you did yesterday is a pretty big assumption. We shall see come next Sunday but what you can expect is a much different Cards than you think we are.

your division record is 4-2 thanks to CHI & DET
our division record is 4-2 too, not 6 times as u mentioned

also u got the benefit our ouw "weak" division over SF, Rams, Seatlle
so u have 7 wins already vs weak teams, add ours, u have 8 games sealed. ah and Browns, 9 games

you lost to Vikings twice, we beat them
u had only 2 good wins this season vs Cowboys & Ravens

we beat the Giants when they were 5-1 & Vikings 10-1

so taking the schedule as a point of argument, invalid agin. You had an easy schedule.

Not to mention Tampa Bay ended a long losing streak vs the Pack this year.
