Amare participated in his first practice in 2 months.

Jared Dudley reporting from Twitter. ;)
"Breaking news!!! amare made his debut today today.. he was back on the court doing drills and playing 4on 4.. for someone who hasnt played"
"in months he look in shape..jump shot got better as the game went on.. he showed his power and athletic ability with a couple serious dunks."
"He was aggressive..Yes suns fans today was a big step for us.. He was wearing his googles be didnt seem to effect him.."
Amare speaks
"It went phenomenal, definitely better than I expected," Stoudemire said. "I feel great. I think my teammates love the fact that I'm back out there. It's great to be back as part of the camaraderie.
"To finally be back out there, I feel like I'm ahead of the curve. I feel great about it. Confident."
Stoudemire's team, which included Clark, Jared Dudley and Robin Lopez, lost four of five half-court games to a team of Channing Frye, Lou Amundson, Taylor Griffin and Alando Tucker.

A link to the video.

Also Nash is back from China and practiced with the team. Everybody besides J-Rich, LB, and Dragic are back in Phoenix and already practicing with each other.

I know that that "formal" informal workouts don't even start until next week, but I wonder how does it feel for JRich to be the only one missing so far without any other engagements.

I thought I read he would be back in Phoenix on this past Monday. I wonder if he was at the arena today.

I am sure it's all Robin's fault :D

Unfortunately, this tells me all I need to know about the toughness of Amare and Robin Lopez when confronted with that Very imposing front line of Channing Frye and Lou Amundson.

:thud:

If I were Dudley, and has lost 4/5 to that lineup, I wouldn't be tweating on how great Amare looked.

PS. I don't care about Amare's health (I am not his mother... ok, bad example), I care about his ability to beat the opponent. Period. Don't show me dunks, show me the scoreboard.

His team lost a pickup game in his first day back. Settle down.

Glad to see him back on the court. Hopefully, this gives the Suns a boost and something to look forward to this season if for nothing else but to get teams interested for trade possibilities should the Suns not want him back.

Yeah, I am a bit over-reactive, but it upsets me how this team judges success (and the fans let them get away with it). "Great dunks, nice shooting form, etc..." cannot be the measure of success. Dudley should have said, "Yeah for being out of the game for several months Amare moved well. There was definitely some rust in his game since we got our asses handed to us by the likes of Sheriff Andy Taylor and Soft Frye. We are slightly embarrassed with the early results but remain optimistic with Amare's return to form."

Maybe Dudley can hire you tell him what to say and how to say it.

Maybe it's better if they didn't reveal any information at all. Oh wait. Then people will moan that there is no information out there.
