Amare did say he wanted to stay in Phoenix and did want to sign an extension. He loves the city and the fans.

Management...not so much.

He also said his eye was pretty much healed.

I love how the FO is so consistent on reducing their appeal to free agents. Shaq has dissed them, Amare has called them out, Nash is refusing to sign an extension until they get their act together. Who the hell would want to come here and deal with that drama?

Thanks for the recap chris. Based off of what you have said I would be interested to hear Andrews reasoning for saying there was a swipe at the management and what exactly the swipe entailed by amare.

So Andrew let's hear it.....

No kidding.

It's a shame. I'm sure we all thought after the 05 playoffs that Amare was just getting started.

Amare was really pushed by Gambo and Ash and I thought he did a great job of avoiding saying anything negative about Phoenix or the organization. I am confused as to where yall think that Amare took a swipe at management. G&A took the comments a bit out of context in my opinion and read a little deep into it. I thought it was a very politically correct and vanilla interview which is what you would expect.

I only want Amare if Shaq is gone. We dont need Shaq as the "Big Bad-influence" on Amare that he's been the last one and a half seasons.

The problem is Amare thinks he is a max player and he is just NOT! I think the only way they extend him is if they have a trade agreed upon and just need him to be under contract. I personally don't think you will ever see an Amare better than what we have already seen, we have seen the best of him and its not that great anymore! Ship him out!
