You've got to plan for him not playing. Play hard and don't wait for him to come back. If he does, then work him in.

damn krispy. I read that same article and did not get that he would not play for 2-3 months like you are stating. The MRI was completely clean.

Can we get a change of the title?

I smell another surgery for Amare. This sucks, I'm gonna go jump off a bridge now.

apparently it's all in Amare's head - both knees are fine - no swelling no pain - he's just not trustihng himself - at least that's what the article is intimating.

this article's got the DA quote - it's a little different than what krispy reported in this initial post, but nothing about this sounds good, especially the frustration from his teamates.

Reading that article makes me feel better then the headline states. This is just Amare being a little girl and a big baby, Amare is mentally soft, they looked at his knee and it was fine, he just cant play with pain.

Pain is a warning that something isn't right. How much worse would you like it to get?

The quotes seem to indicate frustration more so than he will not play for 2-3 months. I think coach just threw that out there.

You can't say you didn't expect this. He's young and coming off his first major surgery. After the attempted comeback last March, it doesn't surprise me that he's hesitating. The mental hurdle is the biggest challenge for him and he still hasn't cleared it. Let's hope he does early in the season

When it was discovered that Amare was going to need microfracture surgery on his left knee, they should have, at that point, just gone ahead and scoped the right knee to see if there were any potential problems on the way.

This just in according to the Republic...

Amare is going to play by walking on his hands this year. He's been really working out hard on his forearms, so expect some ridiculous explosiveness.

:lmao:

Um, er.....maybe it's not so funny.....

I'm in a slow-motion discount of Amare as my basketball icon/hope. Really, it's a deeply sad fate he's meeting.....

This is 90% MENTAL, they've had that right knee checked/MRI'd a thousand times, many of them at his request, and nothing comes up.

Something is obviously more wrong then they are letting people know. You don't have coaches coming out on the radio and stating someone is 2 to 3 months away unless you just found something out.

Just a few short days ago, the coach was saying something different. His comments made you think he was closer then 2 go 3 months away. I agree with the above poster. They are either about to announce another surgery or he just looks so bad right now they are adding more rehab.
