Won again tonight, so despite the Suns winning the Hawks could still at least tie us.

Another triple double for Bob Sura.

That is 3 in a row!!!!!!!!

Is that right? They are management may have sold out, but like the Celtics, their team has not. If only the Clippers did the same thing. They obviously don't care if they win games.

Bob Sura intentionally missed a layup with 1 second left to get the rebound for his 3rd consecutive triple double.
He is probably padding his FA status.

Marcus Fizer, also FA, has 30 points 18 rebounds 1 assist 2 blocks in the 4th quarter tonight.

Bob Sura is a decent PG/SG but I know a lot of members on board want a shooter - for those that haven't seen Milos Vujanic - Bob Sura is another player that plays similar to Vujanic, minus 3PT shooting and Sura is a 9 year veteran now...

Sura is a gritty physical hard working defensive minded (at least in the past) guard. I am not sure how that translates to Vujanic who averages like 1 rebound in european competition and is probably less athletic and definately smaller than Sura.

I would be surprised if Vujanic could ever get 3 straight double digit rebounding games. He will probably never have one.

Now I can hardly wait until Vujanic's first good game in a Phoenix uniform.

When you root for a bad team, you get to scrutinize the other teams at the bottom of the standings, and I've decided that I really like the Hawks, despite their lousy fans and ownership hassles. The players on the court play hard and seem to play unselfishly, too, which is impressive given that many of them will be free agents in a few days.

The Hawks really laid the wood on New Jersey tonight. Sura's triple-double wasn't even the most impressive line for them--Boris Diaw put up 10 assists in 26 minutes, without a single shot attempt. (He wound up with one point on a free throw.)

It would surprise me if the Hawks don't finish the season by beating Boston for the second time in a week--not that it will help the Suns, who will probably end on a four-game winning streak and wind up with the 7th or 8th overall pick. Still, it's the thought that counts, right?

Anyway, I hope they wind up getting a lucky bounce and pick up Dwight Howard as a reward for their players' efforts. It would be nice to see Terry Stotts get another year as the dean of EC coaches, and if they could hold onto their chemistry from this year by re-signing Stephen Jackson, Bobby Sura and maybe Przybilla, that would be even better...

Jason Terry was my favorite player at the UofA when he played there. I always kind of root for him and the Hawks to do well. It was really nice to see them beat Jackass Jason and the Nets.

If Justice is to be served Atlanta, Phoenix, and Utah would move into the top three spots in the draft lottery. I say Utah because they put forth a great effort all season long despite having one of the least talented teams in NBA history.

I just glanced at their box score. Atlanta shot 58% from the field (the Nets shot 49%) and hit 17 of 25 for three points. Jason Terry shot 6 of 8 for three. The Hawks had 30 assists.

Pretty amazing.

When did Atlanta become such an offensive powerhouse?

8 of the 9 guys they played are already in double figures at the beginning of the fourth.

Bob me me ... Sura.

Because he had to fudge his third straight triple-double? It's kind of hard to call a player selfish when he puts up those numbers, even if he did have to stretch for it.

It's a moot point. The NBA took his rebound away, and thus took his triple-double away.

From rotoworld.com:

Bob Sura has had his third triple-double taken away from him because he recorded his final rebound on his own intentional miss.

Since Sura wasn't trying to make the shot, the NBA said he shouldn't get credit for a field goal attempted. Therefore, the rebound did not count. So, Sura owners lose a rebound and gain a slightly improved field-goal percentage.

Thats what i thought. I thought i saw that on the ticker on nba tv last night, but couldn't find it anywhere on the net.

I'm glad they took his rebound away. It's sad players care that much about their stats. I never saw the play, but it sounds similar to the ricky davis play.

And no, i can't see your sig

I'm only in my 20's but from I heard about him - would Moses Malone have rebounds taken away - I don't have any proof but what's the difference? I actually didn't see Sura effort as well but...

Ricky Davis was on the wrong end of court, a bit different IMO?
