The show should be renamed to "Who Can Find The Fastest Taxi"
Great episode - one of the better opening episodes.

The hick couple and the father & son really need to go soon. They were the only 2 teams to really get on my nerves...well the flight attendants too but they are at least nice to look at.
Surprisingly no one really got on my nerves during this premier. You gotta admire the folks that are willing to do a bungee jump even when they are so very afraid. The cheese stunt was freaking hilarious even the natives thought so. Man would I love a peek inside the minds of who ever thinks this crap up.
As usual I cannot pick a team this early in the Race, and since no one bugged me so far there is no on I can hope to be eliminated, I am so wishy-washy.
I can see where the hillbilly couple will wear on me, I cannot abide the whiners, come on it is season 14 you knew what it was when you signed up, don’t cry all over me about it.

What the heck does that mean? They were annoying as hell right from the get go, especially with that cheese thing they had to do and him going down the hill on his butt whining the whole time. Then the father crying on the camel thing was worse.
I said from the very beginning those 2 and the hicks got on my nerves.

My extended family, which is a racial conglomerate, has a few Asians in it and we all howl with laughter at the Chinese brother and sister. Every time there is a task with anything engineering-related in it we all cheer like mad. (Nothing like a good stereotype.) When they had to build the wall of firewood we knew they had it aced.
Very impressed at their Chinese. It's a tough language to learn.

I may be off here but I can't ever remember a season of this where one team had such a clear advantage as has been the case with Tammy and Victor. In essence the last 4 episodes have been in China, with their ability to speak Chinese being a HUGE advantage.
I realize the show had no way of knowing they'd even still be there when the China part started but it almost has me cheering against them because it seems so unfair? the weird part is Tammy is my favorite contestant left, but Victor is tied for least favorite along with the redhead who keeps insulting the cabbies and being the perfect ugly American.
It is a huge advantage for them. It looks like they will be leaving China, and there is usually an equalizer (so all three will likely be on one flight), but this definately kept them in the game.

Seriously --- After busting a hump to get there (fear of water, getting hoplessly lost and completing a a uturn) you stop to use the port-a-potty?
I hate to appear less than delicate but I think I'd wet my pants first.

Interesting side note. We were channel surfing today and came upon some E show about celebrity breakups or something like that. They were talking about Jennifer Aniston on the set of her movie "The Good Girl" and guess what writer for the movie they interviewed, Mike who was the son in the father and son team on this season of Amazing Race. I knew the guy looked familiar to me I must have seen that interview before. so yet another example of how even the best reality shows take people that are in the business.
