Interesting side note. We were channel surfing today and came upon some E show about celebrity breakups or something like that. They were talking about Jennifer Aniston on the set of her movie "The Good Girl" and guess what writer for the movie they interviewed, Mike who was the son in the father and son team on this season of Amazing Race. I knew the guy looked familiar to me I must have seen that interview before. so yet another example of how even the best reality shows take people that are in the business.

He wrote and had a small part in School of Rock too.

Of the 3 teams left the ONLY team I want to win are the brother & sister. They play smart and there isn't as much "ugly American" or whining from them.

They were very open about his Hollywood credentials. They talked about his writing School of Rock several times. I think the whole father and son being gay angle was what really got them cast.

A side note to your side note...that really annoying couple with the guy Jon who was very close to being abusive to his wife, Victoria, during the race. They had a very vague title of movie producers and it seemed like it would not be mainstream. Anyways...they show up on The Girls Next Door a lot. Victoria was in the mag and is friends with one of the girls.

Hope that Jon doesn't abuse his baby.

Yeah I don't mean they're necessarily hiding it, just that it bugs me for some reason that they find it necessary to pull people from "the business" to be on the shows. I agree the angle with them was gay father and son and I didn't have an issue with them. But every week I found myself saying I know I've seen that guy before, I must have missed the discussion of School of Rock so when we saw him in that other show talking about the Good Girl I was pretty surprised they put a Hollywood writer on Amazing Race.

I actually had heard of the Dad - he is pretty well known himself in certain circles.

They were not the typical Hollywood actor/models - young and beautiful. Unlike some of the other mactor teams, they were not recruited, but applied like everyone else with a video.

In that case that's a lot better, i hate when they recruit people for a show that has millions of applicants.

I really liked the finale last night I think the best team won and the downfall of the 2 other teams was essentially the same problem they had all season.

After Tammy and Victor won and Tammy described herself as "the nerdy Asian girl" my niece, who gets teased for being "the nerdy Asian girl", stood up and cheered. I was thrilled for her.

Best team did win. I was routing for Luke to get done first, but once he got frustrated, I knew it was over.

Is there anything more anti-climatic than the end of the amazing race? It away seems like a letdown for me. I like the amazing race. It and Survivor are the only reality shows that I watch. I think one thing they need to do with this show and Survivor for that matter is give money for second, third, forth, etc. places. I want to see the players finishing after the first team actually running for something.
