Katie Ledecky lowered her own world record by 3.61 seconds in winning the 800-meter freestyle for her fifth gold medal at the world swimming championships Saturday night. Ledecky completed a sweep of the 200, 400, 800 and 1,500 freestyles in Kazan. Ledecky tore off one of her two swim caps and smashed the water with her hand in celebration of her third world record in Russia.
