I haven't seen the Cards play much at all lately, but when I did and Anderson was in there, he seemed to do some good things. Not spectacular, but good. Yes??? No??????

Guess everyone was wrong about Croom and scobey...I want my 3 dollars.

Read the fine print my freind

If Shipp is out for the year I will be willing to bet 3 dollars per person that Scobey is our Starting RB after week 3

Since Shipp is not out for the year it is not valid

I'll take you up on that 3 dollars that Scobey is NOT the starting RB after week 3. So let it be written, so let it be done. That'll almost buy me a pint of Guinness.

For my part, I say Anderson will end up being the starter, at least by mid-season. I'm not laying a bet on it, but that's what I think will happen.

So, do you take the above bet? You suggested it, after all.

I said if Shipp is out for the year which he is not. I think Scobeys style of running is what Green likes in his RB's Anderson has it too though, I also said in a later post that Anderson or Scobey would be starting cause honestly I dont think Emmitt is gonna cut it as our starter all season.

I disagree but of course I am much higher on DA than Scobey. As much as this injury hurts (I expected Shipp to grab the starting job away from Smith) this is a great opportunity for one of theother backs to grab this #2 spot and show they are worthy as a RB in the NFL. I think Anderson will do just that.

After watching the two for two years. I just like Scobey better. He hasnr had as many carries in pre-season, but he is stronger, quicker, and just seems like he would hold up better than Anderson all JMHO of course!

He is definitely stronger...not sure I agree he is quicker than Anderson but I have no solid evidence to back me up that he isn't. My perception is Anderson is alot more likely to bust one out for a long run than Scobey.

End product though, I really don't think the Cards can go wrong with either, my preference is Anderson.

Anderson has proven he can be successful in games. However the key is if he can remain healthy. Which has been a problem for all of the Cardinal RBs.

Anderson had that great game in Carolina last time he got his chance. Once he gets through that hole, he's gone. Great burst.

And Scobey has shown...? Oh, I forgot, he's shown NOTHING. I'm still surprised people continue to ride Scobey's jock strap after he has done absoluely nothing and SHOWN absolutely nothing. Everybody heard a few encouraging words from Green EARLY in the offseason workouts and took it as the Gospel that Scobey is the man. I'm not buying what all the Scobey enthusiasts are selling, thanks.

Scobey has yet to get even a single carry as a RB in a regular season game. Anderson has at least played a little and played pretty well.

sorry stout but you get a little overexcited when people dont agree with you.

i always watch the RBs very closely in camp. its my favorite position. 3 camps ago myself and a guy who hasent posted in awhile(tyrestud) were jaw dropped at how much better this kid marcell shipp looked compared to pittman and jones. he looked as though he was in another league and it was obvious. i mentioned it on the board in camp reports. people told me i was crazy. by the end of the year he a muti-million dollar extension over 800 yards rushing and a total of 9 tds in limited action. im not patting myself on the back. im just trying to show you why i am high on scobey. it has nothing to with greens comments.

it has to do with watching him through about 20 practices. he is just visibly stronger, faster, and better built to be a starting caliber RB in the NFL strictly IMO! he has great leverage and burst. he was well on his way to making the team ahead of Anderson two years ago but he broke his hand. anderson took advantage and never looked back. i commend him but he just doesnt have as much upside or talent as Scobey IMO!

Shane,

I'll bet it was the fresh mountain air that made you barf.

Now, I want you to focus as usual on the RB situation, and study Scobey real close. I'll accept your comments that Croom is at best a ST'er for now. I believe that Scobey will become a surprise however, now that he'll get additional reps with Shipp going down.

We sure didn't need this to happen, but I, for one, am not all doom and gloom. You learn alot about "finding daylight" as a KR and this will serve Scobey well. If Anderson wins this competition, then he'll deserve it. Either way, it's not the end of the world without Shipp.

great game? Yeah he played - but that didn't mean it was a great game - didn't he have something 58 yards on 18 carries or something rather pedestrian like that?

You are almost correct.

23 attempts, 61 yards, 2.7 average, 0 TD's

That was one helluva game. :D

And it was 2 years ago.

IIRC, he had more yards catching the ball in that game. Including a key couple of first downs late in the game. Yes, it was not "great" but he did have a good game. Scobey has not had a carry in the regular season, I hope he gets a LOT of work Saturday.
