Anderson's style seems to be more suited to succeed behind a shaky line. His running style is smooth with an effortless change of gear and direction when needed. Scoby is more of a north and south runner who runs at full speed ala Michael Pittman and needs the Oline to break holes open for him.

Scobey reminds me of Pittman running into some OLs back at top speed....

Crazy Canuck, you are NOT crazy...trust me. Everyone pimping the bad stats Anderson had in that game either didn't watch it or have suddenly developed selective memories because they're too busy pimping Scobey at the same time. I saw the game too...I saw an unproven kid go out there and have a damn fine game, regardless of the stats. Barry Sanders could have been running behind that pathetic line that day, and may not have done much better. That's how bad it was. To hold him accountable for that is asinine. He kept drives alive, he helped his team win, and he held up under enormous pressure.

Now, does that make him a superstar? No! Does that mean he had a great game, an earth-shaking game, or even a stellar game? No! It means he had a damn fine game for a young RB thrown, LITERALLY, into the fire. It showed me he has a pretty good skill set for a youngster, and that he has the potential to be good. POTENTIAL.

Of course, everyone against him can now conveniantly forget all the positives and remind us how awful he was in that game. I almost puked when I read a few of the less choice posts on this thread. He kept 3 scoring drives alive and people are pretending it didn't matter, saying 'so what?'? Ugh!

Thanks for the positive assessment of my mental state, Doctor. :D :D

I'm looking forward to seeing Scobey get some carries in a real game so we can see what he can do. He has looked good on kickoffs.

If Scobey gets 65 yards rushing, snags a few passes, does not fumble, and makes plays to help the team win, I will say he had a GREAT first game too.
