I read on Sando's blog that Tate was already shining in Seahawks camp.

I'm hoping Roberts can provide a similar spark immediately. But I love our first 3 recievers so as long as he is dynamic returning punts its all good.

Plus I hear he played at the Citadel so....... ;)

What does the word "citadel" stand for? I see Roberts ending the season if healthy, with 50-60 catches-700+- yds, 5-6 tds; 3+ Tds on PR-ST... D-y-n-a-m-i-c-

Reports are all over the board on this guy. If he has all the tools to play in the NFL right away -- the "hands, speed, balance and skill after the catch" -- then why wasn't he more highly regarded?

I hope he's as good as everyone is saying, I just have my doubts.

Probably for the same reasons why John Randle was overlooked. Who knows, as you and I know you cannot always know what is in a book until you read what is in them.

It's a military school in Charleston, SC.

It's one of the few schools in America that gives graduates a direct commission after college to be an officer in the United States Army. It's a decent school (hyped up more than it should be just like West Point) in a great city.

Because he impressed during his time at the school AND the senior bowl?

Watch his tape.

Look at his numbers.

Listen to the analysis of the Senior Bowl.

:)
Sorry, the joke must have missed. I was just trying to turn the citadel answer on its ear.

I'm excited about this kid, even if I didn't think it was a position we ought to have been drafting in the 3rd.
