Russ, I don't agree that it is cheating. If you were given a MLB legal medication post op for Tommy John surgery recovery...how is that cheating?

I do agree that Bonds and McGwire cheated.

do you really believe ankiel at the age of 23-24 was on it for anti aging?

Regarding the HGH vs testosterone, you do realize the reason athletes use HGH is at the time it was untestable, testosterone wasn't?

I'm not saying it made him a great hitter from nothing, the talent was there, but he took a short cut IMHO to get back. Just like speeding everyone does it but if you get caught don't use the excuse everyone does it. Pay the fine and move on, in his case the "fine" is bad media coverage now.

I'm not condemning the kid but the story was MUCH better when we thought he was clean.

I just hate drug use it pushes more and more people in the sport to do the same thing. That's the whole problem in cycling for so long it was impossible to compete without doping that today's young riders are actively campaigning to get teh older riders to stop so the next generation can compete clean.

we're going to get there with baseball too if not careful.
