Nice post except "feint"? Are you really suggesting that a bunch of little kids (and others) will pretend to go one direction and then zip off in another?

Anyway, I love happy endings so here's hoping you picked 'em right.

I'm at work man, cut me some slack. :D

(And actually even if used properly that sentence is still jacked up)

- Kolb gets injured by Week 5, where we have a 1-4 record.

- Skelton somehow wins two games in a row after Kolb gets hurt, even tho he has a passer rating of 65% and throws 2 TDs and 5 INTs, leading to a boardwide meltdown.

- Reality sets in and Skelton loses his next three games, giving way to Kolb again... who sucks AND gets injured in Week 15.

- Lindley finishes the season as QB.

- Record 6-10.

- Fitz has 1170 yards and 8 TDs

- Washington is a Pro-Bowl alternate.

- Massie struggles A LOT early, but looks like legit starter by the end of the season.

- I will call for Wiz to be fired early when Kolb sucks and we're losing games to bad teams... then go back on that after Kolb hits the dirt and we somehow win two more games and then literally have no clue what to do by the end of the season.

  • No one QB starts more than 8 games
  • All QBs throw more picks than TDs
  • Lindley gets at least one start
  • Beanie gets hurt...again...and misses more than 5 games
  • Williams shows flashes of greatness, but due to sharing touches with Wells (and Powell during Beanie's absence) gains less than 1000 yards.
  • Powell gains more than 400 total yards of offense (not including KR or PR)
  • Massie becomes a legit starter by year's end
  • Batiste doesn't
  • We're in the hunt for a 1st round QB at 5-11
  • The defense again gets of to a slow start and again finishes super-strong

Kolb goes out for the year, injured in WK1 when he rolls out right and Bruce Irvin lands on his knee shredding it b/c KW left Batiste 1 on 1 with an empty backfield.
Skelton defies logic that a team can't succeed with such a crap o-line and gets a 10-6 record by relying on a solid defense and special teams.
Ryan Williams becomes the first Cards RB in God only knows how long that can make us run a successful screen play despite our guys missing blocks and wins comeback player of the year, even though he hasn't played a year in the NFL.
AW wins defensive MVP b/c this system was basically created for a guy like him.
Fitz is Fitz, gets 1250 yds.
PP regresses and gets torched due to overconfidence from the coaching staff and is rarely punted to so doesn't have a good year.
D-Wash gets 10 sacks.
Dan Williams has pro-bowl year, but NTs don't get in the PB so he's not voted in.
William Gay has us offering our first born child to Richard Marshall to please come back.
Russ Grimm pays Bruce Springsteen 5 million dollars to feed him hotdogs by hand while he bathes.
Trent Dilfer finally stops daydreaming of being "Mrs. Trentholomew Hasselbeck" and proposes, but is denied.

My prediction is we'll begin tanking for Barkley somewhere around Halloween.

Wish there was a better target to tank for... I am really suspect of him as a pro. I'd take him if he is on the board, but I dont see him as a sure thing.

USC QB named Matt and recruited by Carroll is all I need to stay away :)

There's really no comparison between Leinart and Barkley from any standpoint other than they went to the same schools. That includes attitude, talent, mental toughness, ego, etc.

And Barkley, Luck, Manning(s) are all in the same category historically when it comes to NFL readiness. We'd take him if he was there assuming he didn't pull an Elway or Eli.

Ummm the other Matt was considered the most NFL ready QB since Petyton Manning.. So your really not convincing me. :)

:pullhair::pullhair:My gut is saying 5-11 this season. The wheels come off with this QB fiasco the Cards have produced.

Probably will be a repeat next season with a 3 way "competition" between Kolb, Skelton and Lindley...:pullhair:

Kolb gets cut.

Wells has another 1000 yard year and 10+ TD's.

Stewart Bradley makes more than 10 tackles this year.

Despite mediocre QB play, again, Fitz has another monster year.

The Cards draft Tyler Wilson next year.

Jamal Fleming starts very early, by game 3,and teams with PP to form the top young CB combo in the league.

Quentin Groves supplants Schoefield and is a starter by mid-season.

With Lindley being the only QB not on the IR list, he wins us our last 5 games and puts us out of position for any decent QB coming out of the draft.

Skelton Starts and plays 16 games
We go 10-6 and make the playoffs.
Stewart Bradley becomes the player we thought we were getting.
Bobby Massie starts all year and really looks solid by mid-season.
Todd Heap gets hurt three different times this year and plays 7 games total.
Rob Housler has breakout year and catches 50 for 500 yards and 7 tds
D'Anthony Batiste gets abused all year and is released.
Cards run as much as they will pass.
Defense ranks 12 overall. Pass defense is our weakness.
Michael Floyd starts midseason and has a good year. 52-600-6 TDs
Andre Roberts has his best year. 70-750-8 tds

Both Beanie and Ryan will start games because one or the other will be nicked up for a few games this year, but with Powell backing them up we still have a great running game this year.

By the third game Whiz and Grimm open their eyes and give the tackles some help by chipping the DE's with RB's and TE's and we turn into a running team.

The offensive line does better than most people think and becomes a solid unit except at LT.
Dan Williams has a breakout year.
O'Brien Schofield loses his starting job to Quentin Groves.
Jamell Fleming becomes the starter across from Peterson.
Gay is moved to the third CB spot.
Adrian Wilson has his best season in years.
Daryl Washington has 10 sacks and makes the probowl.
The Cards break the record for blocked kicks in a season.
Michael Adams gets cut before the season starts.
Neither Vonnie Holiday or Nick Eason return for the 2013 season.
Kevin Kolb is cut at the end of the season.
The Cardinals finally draft an OT in the first two rounds in 2013
John Skelton has 25-tds and 15-ints
In September Whiz brings in a LT from somewhere.

I thought I was the only one who noticed his excessive fawning over Hasselbeck on Thursday.
