With what the Bengals were as a franchise prior to him taking that job...I would love to have him. He is a really good coach.

No he’s really not...

Why Lewis hasn't turned his team over to McCarron over a pedestrian QB in Dalton has been part of his downfall.

He's better than Gabbert as well by Miles IMO.

Y’all must forgot how inept the Bengals were before Lewis. They didn’t even have a professional scouting team. He turned that franchise from the Bungles to a respectible franchise. If he is being forced out, then it’s on mutual terms with the owner Brown and Lewis who are good friends. They are going to go back to the Bungles once Lewis leaves.

For the sake of 7-9, 8-8 continuity, “paging Jeff Fisher. Your guaranteed undeserved and unearned head coaching position has become available.”

Slightly off topic, is Jeff Fisher the first coach to oversee 2 teams change cities during his tenure? He was the Oilers coach when they moved to Tennessee and the Rams coach when they moved back to LA.

Man, if I was a Cincy fan, I would be hell on wheels on their message boards with him coming back.

And if I was a Bengals fan, I would have to contemplate rather I want mediocrity with a chance to be great vs the pre-Lewis era when the team was atrocious. If im a Bengal fan, I wouldn’t trust Brown to hire a coach better then Lewis. Because I bet none of the hot comodities would want to come here.

It's pretty clear that the owner doesn't like change and is willing to lose to keep things the same.

Friend of mine is huge Cincy fan. He's okay with Lewis returning. His reason being, "they would have f'd up the new hire anyway."

Firing a coach isnt always the best solution.

Neither is keeping one that has NEVER won a playoff game in over a decade, runs the worst locker room in the league and hasn’t even made the playoffs the last two years.

Maybe there won't be an annual thread on him since he signed a 2 year deal... well, there probably will be one since we won't be able to figure out how he still has a job!
