It's not bashing, if it's true.

Nice to see Davis take ownership of the problem...one can only hope it translates into improved play.

From that Fox article...
More losses, and the atmosphere in the new stadium could get ugly.

"It's just a matter of time until they start turning again," Pace said, "going off to be fans of other teams."

I can't believe Calvin Pace says this. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Gee-zus dude...what do you expect when the team sucks AGAIN. Here's a thought...maybe NOT worry about that...and make some plays to help the team win.

No Calvin, I am not going to be a fan of another team, but I will not sit in our stadium and be bagged on by opposing fans like I did in 97-99 at Sun Devil Stadium. I can sit my butt on my couch, get drunk, yell obscenities at the television and throw my pillows on the floor for a lot less money if I need to. I choose to go to the games because I love football and I love the atmosphere. Cardinals fans love the Cardinals and they always will.

No you cant. The games will be blacked out in AZ if the trend continues(wont even be able to get them on Directv). Also Calvin Pace is exactly right. I have been in SDS and watched as people were wearing Cowboy Jerseys cheering the Cowboys at the beginning of the game. Yet at the end of the game when the Cards have a chance to win the same people are now cheering the Cards while wearing their Cowboy Jerseys.

You have a valid point, I too have friends like that. The point has been made before, the Cards have a good fan base, and the fans are great. Tailgating the first game of this year was like heaven. I just hope the newcomers don't give up, although, if things continue, they don't have much to cheer for. I shouldn't say "they", I dropped my season tickets years ago and haven't renewed yet, I have gone to every game this year through friends, but I am not a season ticket holder. I do consider myself a Cards fan for what it's worth.

I thought the whole season was already sold out so the games can't be blacked out?

I just read the article, and was baffled by the same Calvin Pace quote:

As hard as it may be to admit, it is sad but true. Most of the fans that are on this site, are diehards and that wont change. However, I beg to differ that a good portion of fans are fairweather fans and will turn/not renew season tickets if things go sour.

I for one will get season tix next year.

Sure there are fairweather fans, but I think most of them are just casual fans. If the team can't win them over, the team shouldn't complain about them.

I don't think Pace was complaining about the fans. He was saying in essence that if the team keeps playing the way they have been they won't deserve any fans.

Agreed. That is a scary thing to hear from a player.

Nice to see Big taking some responsibility....it would be nice if it was not money motivated but you take what you can get on this team.

Calvin Pace has the right to express his opinion as to fan behavior if we continue to lose.

But he's paid to play football/not be a "marketing expert."

The only thing he can do to positively influence fan behavior is to do things on the field and in the training facilities that can help us win.

His comments aren't necessarily wrong, but I sure wish there'd be less "boo hoo" and more "nose to the grindstone" as we try and turn this thing around.

Calvin Pace is playing "out of position"....pure and simple.....and if Berry doesn't step it up, I'd be giving more playing time to either Smith or Pace at RDE.
