IDK what they were paying Max Kellerman, but he was everywhere on ESPN. Seems like he was a value compared to some of the others. I know Keyshon was getting paid huge, so I could see that. Keyshon will end up elsewhere. Not that he's extremely knowledgable, but he has opinions and isn't afraid to defend them. Makes for good radio and TV.

Man I’ve grown up with espn, but yes have not watched it for awhile. Still it is the legend, agree to get politics out of it - stick to sports - it’s a long time coming.

I prefer the nuts and bolts of a game, over highlights, they use to show more - but it if it more about personalities , then about the subject content , it failed at its core purpose.

Haven’t watched the Worldwide Leader in years, so I don’t know many of the names that got axed. Still plan to avoid it until and unless ESPN becomes more focused on sports and less on highlighting individual stunts + trying to be a social juggernaut. I’m a dyed-in-the-wool liberal and they annoy me. Stop trying so hard to appear hip ESPN.

IMO, now that inflation is settling somewhat businesses are going to look for other ways to increase their profit margin to include job cuts. What's ironic is Disney is cutting jobs but their merchandise, movies and theme parks are sill making a killing. Now I'm sure a lot of these on air personalities are making millions so I'm sure they are set, especially the former athletes who were just using jobs like pocket change compared to the money they made during their playing careers.

Nah, I was just being a little whimsical. I'd rather they kept Suzy on at ESPN but failing that, I thought I'd at least help her get her name spelled correctly.

30 years ago she was in her late 20's, working at ESPN and great at her job. Now, she's in her late 50's, unemployed but still great at her job. I just wish it had been some Suzy Kolbar that ESPN tossed out instead of Suzy Kolber.

I always took a moment to watch Suzy Kolber no matter the topic. She brought some normalcy to sports.

Actually, their movies are struggling and theme parks have been in a tough spot still since the pandemic. Disney's in a bit of panic mode.

Cutting some of the on-air talent (where these people have already probably made millions either playing sports or just being broadcasters) is probably better overall than cutting 20 people behind the scenes who aren't set for life.

The only big move that really struck me was Todd McShay getting let go... one would have assumed it'd be Kiper who got the axe.
