Sheesh another victory?

What the hell Cardinals. You are supposed to be losing 15 straight so we can almost draft Andrew Luck.

How can:

Beating a hated division rival
Letting the coach tie the franchise record for wins
Seeing Larry Fitz shatter team records
Talking about Playoff scenarios in December

Compare to:

Almost but not quite drafting the guaranteed football god Andrew Luck.

I know that when I walked out of the stadium today I just kept thinking... Crap now we may draft in the teens. Stupid Cardinals!

If only others would see as Bodha and I do. I see he is wisely already hoping we tank next year. If only the rest of you weren't so dumb, you could see how inteligant we are.

Of course your right man, and here's why.

If your team is 0-16 or 1-15, it's way, way, more than one player away from being competitive on weekly basis. Your team is basically in shambles. Add to that the risk that the pick might not work out, and it's not worth it to let your team fall that far to get the pick.

Just look at the Rams. They are the perfect example of why that strategy sucks.

A lot easier to post now than when we were 1-6.

My wise friend had it right back then:

What would be the point of winning out our next 9 games? It is just as true then as it is now.

I'll admit, I wanted us to tank.......when you start off like we did, and there's the Peyton-esque light at the end of a tough tunnel, you try to go for the light.

I never want us to tank, but if we do lose...that light at the end is all you have.

I am not even sure Luck will be the best QB in this upcoming draft. Lot of great players coming out.

You should never want your team to tank, no matter the situation. It goes against every principle of sports and athletics. Players and coaches work too hard for too long to accept losing under any circumstance.

I don't care if we're 0-13, I would still want to win the next game.

That's the way I feel about it too.

My walk out of the stadium:

49er fan yelling at every Cardinals fan "Win a super bowl."

He just kept it up so I yell back "A loser says what?"

"Win a super bowl"

"A loser says what?"

Soon a bunch of other fans respond back with that and he eventually slinks off in frustration. So much better than these dill hole fans whooping, chanting, and cheering in our stadium.

The more we win, the more buttholes don't bother buying tickets.

Such a joke, every 9er fan trash-talker came into the game talking about how great THIS years team is and how we suck now and they were going to beat us again.

Then every 9er fan trash-talker left the stadium talking about how great their team used to be and how now doesn't matter.

Cant have it both ways losers!

All we need is a guy like Rivers to be a 13 or 14 gamer winner. Our defense gets better every week and with our #2 drafted RB coming back next year we should have a better running game. I do not know any defense that has played much better in the last 6 games and most of them are young. Either Skelton or Kolb must develop between now and the start of next season or we will be an also ran. Oh yes you crazy GM sign Cambell before someone like the Cowboys does. Sure you can tag him next year but it will be a heck of lot less expensive to do it now.

The Niners fans were the biggest sore losers I have ever seen.

I was nice about how I worded a text to a co-worker (Niners' fan) just after the game...

I said "Tough battle. Good game, man."

He replies "We lost because we didn't have Patrick Willis."

Uh, wow. Thanks for giving any credit to our team.

You play who is available. We have had plenty of injuries too.

So I reply "We don't have Toler, Rhodes, or Williams. You play who you have."

He replies "Yeah, but they all suck."

I hate Niners' fans.

There were a lot of jackass Niners fans trying to pick fights after the game. But I also saw plenty of Cardinals fans willing to get into it with them and talk crap, which I found even more stupid.

They're still 10-3 and we're not, still division champs and we're not, and still hosting a playoff game and we're not. I'd have gladly traded a loss today for a 10-3 record and division title.

But yeah, plenty of Niners fans were still jackasses. And BIM can tell his friend that we would have still won if they had Willis and we had Kevin Kolb, Kerry Rhodes, Ryan Williams, and Greg Toler! Injuries happen.

I said they would be hosting a playoff game, not necessarily a divisional round playoff game. Then won the division, so they will be hosting a playoff game.

Ah yes. Good call, 9ers lose first game no matter who it is.
