In the Columbus paper they have a quote from Shaun Smith. He's a DL for the Browns that played for Cincinnati last year. He was trash talking Shayne Graham(Bengals kicker) all during the game and was all over him during FG attempts. Here's why when asked after the game

"I blame (Graham) for the reason we lost last year and didn't make the playoffs. That's why i have so much-how do you say it?-hatred toward him. It is what it is....i blame him.All he had to do was get the snap and kick the ball and we'd have been in the playoffs."

You know that's going to be the mentality of the Cards players. This guy, Smith, at least came out and said it. Now if he was still on Cincy, he probably wouldn't have said anything but still would've thought it. That shows you how the players mindset is when it comes to kickers. They have one job, make the kick.

Is that the same Shaun Smith who played in 13 games last year and didn't do a thing?

I'm glad he put the blame on someone else ...

Shaun Smith is not a good example of what "all" players think.

But we get it. You don't like Rackers.
I guess you're right. All the players and coaches love Neil Rackers and have 100% confidence in him to make the big kick. There's probably not one guy in the locker room who thinks if Neil could make a 32 yard FG that they would be in the playoff hunt. Sorry,my bad.Shame on me for bringing attention players' point of view on things. I love Neil Rackers.I hope the Cards sign him to 6 year guaranteed,un-friendly cap eating deal. He's got a strong leg so he must be a good kicker.

He is however a better example of what players think that what anyone on this board is.

He's one guy, privately poll every Cardinal team member with the promise of confidentiality and you'll get varied answers. Same thing can be found at any job anywhere.

Cbus, And don't forget the "Rod Graves Needs to be Fired" & "Bill Bidwill is Cheap" threads, but be sure to spell Bidwill wrong like the above so we know you've done the research (LOL). On another note why is this guy with the Browns (Bengal in state rival) but Graham is still with the Bengals?

Oh I'm pretty sure if you polled that question , 100% of the team would like to put a boot in his ass.

If this is a repeated thread and it bothers you so much, why don't you just pass it by and ignore it?

Oh and by the way, people talk a lot about a team wins it, and a team loses it. Well...when a team puts you in a position to win it you should!!! A 30-40 yard field goal should be automatic for any NFL kicker. Rackers missed two of those that should have given us W's and a playoff berth.

hey, Ohio, if you want an intelligent response to your thread, they'll have to put the beer down and turn their hats back around and that won't happen.
