Yes, but how do you fix those problems when you let your marquee players and those that you developed leave year after year?

Plummer is not a marquee player (no matter how much the national media touts him) and never developed here - he was making the same boneheaded plays in Year 6 as he was a rookie.

Boston was a Marquee player, but he didn't want to be here. I would rather play guys that want to be here, than have someone sulking on the sidelines.

What other marquee/developed player did we lose?

Oh yeah, Martay, my bad - your right, horrible off-season.

Hmm....Plummer barely developed (and sucked on his way out).

Mar Tay, yeah he developed, but how much? Obviously not very much considered he garnered a whooping 400,000 dollar contract.

Boston....He developed.....into a world class jackass.

He only talked to TJ (bad for team chemistry), turned into a bodybuilder (causes more injuries), gained a police record, all the while whining and pouting on the bench when his season went sour (and he wasn't playing well before his injury either)

Other teams lose marquee players all the time. The way the league is now you can't keep everyone.

I am not saying the Cards have done a stellar job over the years (esp after the playoff apperance) but lets look forward. I think some housecleaning was in order for this team. You have to change attitude first and I think they are showing some improvement in that area. Lets hope Mr. B will give Mac and Graves what they need to continue 'cause its the only hope we have. :D

I (along with Skorp) started the david boston hates us (Cardinals) stuff last year..and was pretty much ripped to shreads by everyone (well..mostly krang:wave: )

I started thinking this initially after spending a week at training camp at flagstaff..and then during the preseason and home games I would make it a point to watch david boston on the bench (I sit right behind the cardinals bench) when play was not in progress..his behaviour on the sidelines was the worst I have ever seen. He did not come within 10 feet of another player (only TJ on occasion) - which is hard to do on the sidelines. I saw him get into spirited conversations with members of the coaching staff - and one time dave mcginnis came over to him (it was at a very crucial part of the game.. and it was not during a timeout)..mcginnis was very animated and boston followed mcginnis to the sideline..and stood there until the game was over..and david tore out at full speed on the last play of the game and beat everyone to the locker room...he never went into the game..and he left his helmet on the bench - which tells me he knew he was not going in..why did mcginnis call him over to the sideline..perhaps he thought it looked bad that david was sitting on the bench staring into space on a crucial play in the 4th quarter? I could obviously not hear what was being said..but you could tell by the expressions it was not pleasant. I also saw david at training camp - coaches would start talking to him..he would turn around and walk away. I specifically saw a coach (I was on the sideline about 10 feet from the receivers) go up to david and ask him to do a drill with him to show how something should be done..and david said no thanks and walked away and martay jumped in his spot (frank was injured).

I could list 10 examples..but the above is enough for a player that is gone. I think david hated it here..I think we knew he was gone last season...I do not think the coaching staff wanted him near the younger players. ..the cardinals goofed by not getting anything for david...they underestimated the demand for certain tagged players..
