In continuing my move to join everyone in the next century, I have to ask. If I download music from Apple's site at work, is that the only computer I can access my purchased music from? Or, can I log in and access my music from another computer (ie my home computer)?

Thanks!

Unless you transfer your music to your home in some way or another (email, ftp, cd etc) yes.

Can I have some more points? 100 just isn't enough.

:)

You don't get points for answering questions, you get points for compliments.

No, you're still just at the negative 100. ;)

Jersey, do you have an Ipod? If you load the music on your ipod on your work computer, there are ways of transferring that music via your ipod, to another computer. I've not tried it yet, but I've read some messageboards that talk about it.

Cool. That's what I was looking for. And, yes, of course I used my work computer, lol! Isn't that what it's there for? Guess I'll research the transfer-to-home-computer-from-ipod-option this weekend.

BTW, I freaking LOVE my ipod!!! This thing is awesome! I have all these new songs I bought online. Rock on. (No, I have not been drinking.)

You have to give permission for the song to be played on another computer...took me awhile to figure it out.

Arthur, are you on a LAN with a lot of "resources"

I downloaded 10 GB of music at the dorm on the LAN.

:raccoon:

Now, if there is ever a song I need to get, I use the dogpile audio search. It's pretty helpful. Usually there is an mp3 file somewhere that I can download

Arthur, you should really download ShareScan (http://www.tucows.com/preview/220820). It allows you to index your Network Neighborhood shares so you can search them. You can also use something like myTunes to download files from other people's itunes (http://www.minimalverbosity.com/).
