I hope to have a chance at Shaun Alexander other than that A-Train and Herny might be good pick-ups as well if Shipp is not in our plans.

I want a stud Rookie RB to go with a vet like Shipp or Hambrick. Bennett would not be bad either.

Thomas couldn't beat out Jones who couldn't beat out Shipp. I will hate it if we bring this guy in.He's a waste of money. We need speed.

He wasnt really given a chance. He has had a "near" pro-bowl caliber season at RB and another 1,000 yard season on his resume. When TJ was hurt he came in and had 2 great games. The guy can play. Hes better than anything we have including a healthy Shipp.

The remarkable thing is that the Bears, who are even worse than the Cardinals, held on to the A-Train when they could have traded him for help that they needed elsewhere. Anthony Thomas is not the answer for the Cardinals. He is not quick enough and he does not have the power of a Shaun Alexander.

What seems to me to be most evident this season is the importance of the offensive line. Sure, Peyton Manning is great, but when you look at the Colt's games he has great protection.

It is difficult to tell with Emmet Smith just how good or bad our offensive line is. On so many plays it seems that he can hardly take a step or two before being hit by one or more defensive players - an indication that the liine is bad. But on some plays yesterday, he seemed to miss opportunities that presented themselves.

Unless we have a decent offensive line, no running back will be the savior.

No way. I watch about half of the Bears games and A-Train is not better than Shipp. I consider Shipp, Hambrick and Thomas all reliable RBs; but I don't think any of them have shown that they have all the tools yet and Thomas wouldn't be able to differentiate himself from those two.

Denny likes speed and will go for a rb that has that burst to go all the way on any given play. If Minnesota is willing to trade Michael Bennett; Denny will grab him (of course he won't give away a high draft pick).

I know I'm going to get flak for this but what about Trung Canidate? He seems to fit the mold of what Green wants in a running back. Fast, able to catch the ball. I know he stunk it up in Washington, but who didn't under Spurrior. Just thinking out loud.
