I've seen it a couple times. Man, it is so funny.

I remember three of them:

1. a Joe Don Baker movie where he is a Texas Sheriff in Italy chasing some dude - OMG the way they rip on JDB is absolutely side aching!

2. a Lee Van Cleef & Dick Van Patten's kid in a martial arts movie. It looks like LVC runs around in underoos.

3. A serial killer in a back woods town with the most inept police dept ever.

I just seem to miss them. Whenever it is on I just can never turn it off. They may be the funniest shows on tv.

Oh yeah I love this show!!!

I like the older ones better with Joel, but it's still hilarious.

That is definately a very funny show. Watching that show makes you wonder why some of the movies they rip were ever even made. The sad thing is, when you are watching a truly horrible movie that you and your friends are laughing at, someone, somewhere, is thinking "this movie rocks."

This is the reason why my wife forbids me from watching this show when she's around.

"Why don't those guys shut up?" she asks, "I'm trying to watch this!"

I personally love that show!

If only there were a way they could work David Caruso into the show...

A great movie called Ed Wood will pretty much show you how and why these movies get made. A lot of the time, it's basically to fill a quota by the studios, but sometimes, these pieces of crap are the results of some unlucky bloke's passion.

I've been a MiSTie for about 12 years. It is one of my favorite shows of all time. It is still on in re-runs on Saturday mornings on the Sci Fi Channel.

1. That is Final Justice. Another great Joe Don Baker movie they did is called Mitchell. Man, that is hilarious! It is also the last movie starring Joel Hodgson.

2. They did two movies with Timothy Van Patten and Lee Van Cleef...Master Ninja 1 & Master Ninja 2. They are two of the funniest episodes they ever did IMO! I have both Master Ninjas and Mitchell on tape.

3. Not sure which one that is.

Classic show. Wish they were still making them.

ahhh mitchell is classic. the actual movie is pretty good. i like joel as well. cave dwellers is good. i saw one the other day making fun of a movie called "red zone cuba" the movie was terrible and they ripped it to oblivion. one of the main characters looked like curly from the stooges, so they went off on that.

what time is it on sat mornings? i used to watch it when it was on more regularly.

some good ones are:

pod people
the brain that wouldn't die

The Brain That Wouldn't Die - classic b-trash.

We gave that away at our Oscar Party to this guy who got the most wrong picks. The MST3K dvd's includes the MST3K version as well as the original unMST3K version.

I've seen that one a couple of times - pretty good.

check out red zone cuba sometime. some of the shorts are the best. there's this old infomercial about correct posture they just tear apart. some of the movies they find, are so bad, i can't imagine seeing them without the comments.

i find myself commenting on movies a lot more now. if i start to dislike a movie, the comments start flowing....

i lost control with the mothman prophecies(i thought it was funny)
and i just laid into the hulk at the dollar theater the other day:)

i thought the two towers movie was great, but when the elf king(the dude that played the agent in the matrix) came out, i yelled "Mr. Anderson"

That one is absoultely solid. Definitely one of my faves.

Another one that I really liked (I can't remember the name of the movie) it was sort of like a Godzilla type movie that featured a giant tortoise. They ripped that one to shreds ... it was classic.

My favorite though was the "Mystery Science Theater 3000 the movie" where the film that they were making fun of was "This Island Earth". It is absolutely hilarious ... highly recommend this for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

Where did you find the dvds for old episodes for MST3K? I've looked several places but have been unable to find any.

Boisesuns as to the answer for your question ... it is on at 9 a.m. every Saturday on the Sci-Fi Channel.

You can find some episodes at places like Amazon. Some video stores also rent episodes.

I love the old short subjects from the '40's and '50's that they used to do. One called Mr. B Natural is classic. Also another one about how to be a car salesman always cracks me up!

I've also found some of them at Best Buy and Suncoast (pricey).

boise - when my wife attended NAU they would show The Shinning in one of the building (can't remember which one) around Halloween. We went to it and it was like going to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Everyone was in sync with little phrases to yell back at the screen - it was a total blast when nearly the entire group is doing it. However, I did feel sorry for one guy who was sitting behind us. He did not enjoy it at all because this was the first time he'd ever seen it and so it was not a good experience for him.

I was about to start a new thread on MST3K, however, came across this already existing one....

My favorites were "Gamera", "Manos the Hand of Fate", that zombie snatching movie in which the creatures dressed in hysterical costumes....

Has anyone seen "MST3K": The Movie? I was somewhat disappointed in it....
