I didnt take time off. (thank God) I was completely underwhelmed with the launch. I had to sign on to update the system 4 times before it would finally let me install the much needed patch. I was unable to download the patch for KillZone so I was unable to play multiplayer. At 2am, I just finally decided to go to bed and forget it.

I had higher hopes for KillZone than I should. (never played a game in the series) The game is well thought out, but fails in so many ways. The objective marker blends in too much with the scenery and is very hard to see. Weapon switching and grenade throwing is not smooth at all. On the campaign mode, there is no way to save your progress. I had to start 3 or 4 checkpoints back after having to stop my game in the middle.

Where do I begin with multiplayer? The menus are muddled and clumsy. It is hard to tell what your objectives are. It takes 8-10 bullets to kill people. I could go on and on.

Hopefully the game gets better, but I'm not holding out much hope.

(I do have 2 days planned off for the Xbox One launch)

You're buying both? That's so much money to spend on video games. I'll be eager to hear which one you like better. I'm on the fence on which one to buy. I got a bonus check burning a hole in my pocket though... hah

Yeah. It is a lot of money. I have been putting in 55-60 hours a week in or more. It paid for our vacation last month and is paying for these new consoles.

If I were on the fence like you, I would probably recommend the Xbox One if you have the $100 price difference to spare. The NFL agreement with the Xbox One is absolutely huge for us NFL fans.

I don't mind the patch. I minded PSN being down. It seems like every time I want or need to be on PSN it is down.

I don't fear this being as big of a problem on One. I trust Xbox Live and its stability more than PSN.

Ive never had a problem with xbox live being down before so hopefully that stays intact. I just hope the patch downloads fast, I have plans for friday evening and want to play with it before I go out :)

Hopefully they have some stuff to play with right away because we are having a party saturday and a fun kinect game would be good for the kids. "Kinect party" on the 360 will work if not. I wonder if running the 360 through the xbox one will allow me to use the new kinect for the old games.
