Leinart is available.

He would be my choice out of the others listed. Matt Hasselback would be another. Brady Quinn would be third. I really wish we could talk Kurt Warner out of retirement for this year. He could take this team to the Super Bowl IMO.

If Stanton can't finish the season... well, our dreams of playoffs and Super Bowl will come to a brutal end. No team can ride a 3rd string QB to glory, especially one signed off this street in the last half of the season.

I think Arians will go with Thomas if Stanton gets hurt, no matter who gets signed.

Wow. I don't think BA would throw in the towel and put LT in if he gets a QB that has some experience. I don't think he will quit till that last whistle blows.

I think he would see Thomas his best chance to win. I could be wrong and really hope to never see what his decision would be.

Either way, we need another QB to back up the back up... The way everything has gone this year, we need some serious depth there

Thinking way outside the box....

Nick Davila

Probably the best QB in the arena league & led the Rattlers to 3 straight Arena Bowl Championships.

Obviously, arena football is a lot different that the NFL, but Kurt Warner did successfully make the transition and I'm sure he isn't the only one. Didn't Doug Flutie also play Arena... or was that just the CFL? Don't worry, I expect to get laughed at & mocked for this post, but the NFL free agent QB options are horrible.

Warner coming back would be a MEGA story for the NFL history and record books and as well as the crowning chapter of his rags to championship career. Unfortunately, his arm strenght is probably at a noodle level now, his physical conditioning is no where it needs to be to handle NFL level bumps and blows, and he'd want to tinker and modify BA's offensive system (there can only be one boss, ask Peyton Manning, Denver's boss).

Fun to ponder the possibilities, but too much time may have passed and the game maybe too fast for him now. And no one wants him to get hurt which is the worst that could happen.

Doug played real football in the CFL.

Re: Warner...

and it means restarting his Hall of Fame clock.
