I came in late on purpose. Didn't matter. A Niners fan came in and told my staff to let me know that he saw me in tears on TV last night at the game and laughed. (If he knew me better, he'd know I was angry as hell and far from crying.)

I told my staff that the game is not up for discussion.

Maybe you could forward that story to DD?

I heard he was looking for reasons to play.

Hell yeah!!! I told all of my co-workers "You do realize the Cowboys are 3-8 also"? They didn't respond. Cowpie fans are such asses.

worse

the oppisite of love is indifference. To care or not to care, that is the question. I care about the cardinals

The hardest part is the hopelessness, getting worse not better every game. No answers in sight, on the roster, sidelines or in the front office.

Yes I'm getting razzed at work and my armor has been down for a couple years. some are hiding beneath the covers daring not to peek out. I got off earlt to go to the game, and made a big deal at departure from the office.

There was an article about the SB appearance raising the mood of the valley in early 09. the opposite is true, depression is contagious.

as an old school social worker I ask all to take care of themselves, take care of your Cardinal fan brothers and sisters, lower your head and RAM FORWARD!

We are Cardinal hear us roar! Cardinal up and take it like a fan.

and thank the earth for the lockout. We need to limit this crap on the field, coach Whiz will have something beside the players to blame it on.

Damian Anderson blamed the fans on KTAR! Don't we know how good and talented the cards really are? Get a grip fool, your initials are DA, duck for cover.

Jersey, THESMEL just gave you the advice I was going to give you.

You do this, then you make a mental list of all the people who are giving you grief. There will come a time, one way or another, that you can put a check mark next to all those names.

Today's the day everybody hangs tough. And together. Come back here as much as you can. Misery loves... you know.

Everyone here loves the fact that I'm a die-hard so I tend to get more sympathy than abuse. I also don't talk smack, so when they were doing well everyone was pretty psyched. Anyone else, I just ignore. It just distracts me from reading new threads about the same arguments :cards:

Most people in Chicago have no interest whatsoever in either the 9ers or the Cards so I am good.

I work with women (who are not interested in football), so the closest thing to football anyone here cares about is dancing with the stars. Today is one of the few days I feel lucky.

It's just entertainment.

Don't get so worked up about a game where you have no control.

When talking about the Cards it's 'they' not 'we'.

I used to be too serious about them too then it hit me like a ton of bricks. Why get emotional about this. The team won't help
Me in my bad times they'll never send me a penny and they'll never listen to my suggestions.

It's fun but getting mad over their inept playing is just foolish.

Trust me. If you knew me, you would know that this is not me taking this too seriously or getting too mad.

I just laughed at the Niner fans here and told them it was all part of the plan.

Cardinals get to land Andrew Luck.

Cardinals get to fire Bill Davis.

49ers get to keep Singletary.

True story:

I live about 10-15 minutes walking distance away from Heinz Field. My place of employment is right by there.

Can you imagine the crap I got after the Dolphin game?

All the time, by everyone: my best friend, my co-workers, my old co-workers, my fellow ASU students, etc... It feels like back in middle school when I was the only Cardinals fan.

Doesn't much matter. Taunters will taunt and haters will hate.

To me we are we, not they, and most the people I work with know I am diehard and just accept it. After all I'm just a girl what do I know ;)

The sympathy is there and so are the ha-ha comments I just take it in stride, they have learned that nothing they say can make me less a Cardinal fan. Though for the first time in quite a while I will be happy to see a season end.

And if the 49er fans really get to you tell them that it is too bad they cant come back next week and play us again then they have a chance to string two wins together. It is usually good for a full 30 seconds of silence.

I most hate making crappy teams look good.

That's a good one. :)

It's not all that bad. Just wish it had been a decent game so we could at least have a conversation that involves something more than me admitting that, yes, we sucked royally last night.

Oh well. It's just a game.
