Anyone else think Green will send BJ packing soon?

He seems to call him out (without mentioning his name) every chance he gets.

He's making way too much coin to take up this much cap space, how long do we give him?

How long do we give Calvin Pace? At least Bryant Johnson has a place on this team.

Agreed.

And how long do we deal with Big?

Yeah he is solid, but solid LT don't make 6mil a year

I could see Big being a cap casualty next year. I think his 06' number WAY to much.

Considering he is the primary backup at all d-line positions , I would argue he has a place on this team as well.

If Rod and Dennis are smart, they keep him until they can replace him with someone better.

This is a pretty tough thing to do in the middle of the season. I might "fire for effect" and demote him behind Lee, but I'm not sure Lee is any better than BJ.

Most likely, if BJ continues to fall short, you logically could expect to see a change after the season ends.

KVB three sacks last week. This O-line is not going to change unless there is an injury. They need to play together for more than two games. It will be evaluated throughout this season and Green will do what he has to to fix it. Right now we have who we have. Brown will get better every game, Ross will be in shape by game 3 or 4. Step is a good center and Wells is a good LG. Big most of the time is above average and at times he is flat out great. Then there are the offsides, roughing et al. But folks KVB 3 sacks in one game. He always had a good motor.

And he did absolutely nothing when he was here. I suppose you're right we should hold onto every non-productive effort guy in hopes that he someday pans out. That way our starting front 7 would consist of Levar Woods, Ronald McKinnon, Garth Jax, KVB, Marcus Bell, Fred Wakefield, and Dennis Johnson. Hooray!

"..And in this corner.."

"big" is not the franchise player everyone in the NFL thought when we got him at #2.. After this year, if its as shi**y as our Oline is now anyway, unless they turn it around like 720 degrees, how much more would it hurt us to try and trade
him for a '06 #1? would we have to eat a bunch of cap $? Next year in FA I could see us getting 2 og's[like Ross verba] not oliver ross, and another FA LT that plays to his ability on every down, not once in a while.. Or Better yet, move "BIG" inside to guard and let him dominate like he did 2 years ago or whenever that was..who can forget the way he manhandled that Eagle safety blitzing with one hand while blocking a DL also? OG is the place for big--maybe he and Elton Brown could put their heads together and decide to dominate the NFL DT's for the next 6-8 years..

Until we get someone better than Big we sure do not just cast him off. Cap Casualty??? We did not spend our Cap money this year. We still have $5 mil in the Bidwill bank. A question I think worth asking is did DG want to sign some OL or TE and was turned down by Graves/Bidwill because they needed to keep the remainder of the Cap money for some other reason? DG is not going to point out his bosses so we really do not know.

Is Big playing a position he did not want to play? Seems I remember that DG moved Big and Big was not all that happy with the move.

Why, oh why are people concerened about how much money the Cardinals are spending?

We're BELOW the cap, people. And, until we're going to go out and spend to tghe cap, there is absolutely NO SENSE in cutting people that aren't playing to their contract as long as they're contributing SOMETHING. We cut Shelton because he was a backup making starting money. Okay, so what do we do with that money we freed up? NOTHING. We sat o it and now we're screwed because our line sucks but we don't really have any options because our backups suck even worse.

If we cut Big because he hasn't played to a probowl level to matchg his probowl salary, I'll blow a fuse if we don't get someone in here that will play better than him (and I don't think we're going to find too many available LTs that will play better than him).

Who cares about players' salaries when we're not even using the money available to us. Would we be a better team if we had $10M under the cap instead of $5M?
