The Pistons have 7 big men under contract. Thirty-six year old Elden Campbell and his $4.5 mil contract may be available. Campbell will be an unrestricted free-agent after this year.

Campbell used to be one of the most underrated centers in basketball. A true 7-footer with soft hands, but not quite the shot blocker that would have made him a wealthy man.

We'd probably have to give up expendable contracts, though. I have no idea how to make that trade work under the cap. Campbell's current value is probably a second-round pick, but those have no cap value in a trade.

Campbell did not do much until the finals when actually contributed.

He played in 65 games. These are minumum contract numbers and unlike Hunter, he is unlikely to get better.

A trade of Eisley for Campbell would make sense for the Suns, but it doesn't work cap wise and the Pistons don't need another PG.

I'm pretty sure he's past his point of being effective.

I'm ready to just let this team go at it and see what they can do.

You know, Magic Johnson calling someone "easy" really doesn't mean much.

I think he called him easy because of his laid back attitude in practice and games.
