You know we scream at Levi all the time and some on the board are way overdramatic about it (you know who you are;)) but for as bad as his numbers are this is now the second all pro team i have seen him on or getting votes for and he was the NCF West rep in a couple All Divison line ups I have seen. When he has a bad game he seems to have a REALLY bad game but overall he is solid.

I saw a post the other day showing D'Brickshaw Ferguson's progress/stats the last two years opposed to this year and seeing how much worse Thomas played this year from last and it just shows me that young OT's are going to be inconsistent and will take time to develop. At least thats my hope with Levi and he too has shown strings of good play and cutting down on the penalities.

There are very few Walter Jones in this world who dominate from Day One.

Ryan Clady has dominated.

I had that name in mind when I typed that post. He's also.....

a first year player. Just like Joe Thomas was last year before he seemingly regressed this year.

That's what I am saying. Whether playing well or playing poor it seems to be year to year at the beginning of these guys career.

I would have been pissed if Fitzgerald didn't make it this year. He should have made it last year.

Which AP writer voted for James Harrison as an ILB?

How can the AP vote Harrison as the defensive player of the year then not even vote him as the best OLB?

Ed Reed was the only unanimous decision.

Levi got 1 vote out of a total of 100. I guess that’s progress, but I don’t want to be too dramatic about it.

The 50 AP football writers are about as scatter brained as the fan voters for the pro bowl. How does a group vote Manning the best player in the league then go and vote Brees as the Offensive player of the year? If you are the best player in the league wouldn’t you then also be the top offense or defense player in the league by default. That sort of flip flop has rarely happened and here is why it happened. The MVP was voted on before Manning playoff game while the offensive player of the year was voted on after the playoff game. Shows how easily their minds are swayed if after one game they changed their minds.

Walter Jones got 3 votes on his name alone because it wasnt because of his play, same with Runyan.

Just a little note I didn’t realize until yesterday. The AP awards aren’t even sanctioned by the NFL. The only post season awards sanctioned by the NFL are the Super Bowl MVP and Pro Bowl MVP.
