Apocalyptic Playground

Hey everybody,

Normally I try not to solicit anything here (not even my network's TV shows), but I just got involved with a web series (which I will produce, act in, probably edit and do special effects) recently called Apocalyptic Playground.

All I ask is that you check it out at http://apocalypticplayground.com.

We also have a facebook page. Right now, the first 6 episodes are up and they are pretty existential--not a lot of story. The project was born from a bunch of actors and crew that were out of work and just wanted to do "something". So they put this together. It's grown a bit and now we're trying to get some interest for our continuing episodes.

If you like it, great. If not, that's ok too. It seems to be pretty popular with the people that are familiar with it, and we're trying to get the word out about it (mostly to attract monetary investors here in LA to up the production value). We have a story now and are going to work through it--we're looking at expanding it to be several episodes long. The first 6 are just a taste of what's to come.

No, unfortunately they're just web-based. I had the idea that later when all the episodes are done to release a DVD with all of them. But as far as downloadable, I don't really see that happening.

I don't think plot is a consideration. So far. It seems to be more of an experiment and an attempt at interaction, which is a new and interesting idea (IMO) in cinema.

Exactly. There will be more of a plot developing within the next few episodes, but for now it's very much a very pure improvisational exercise.

While BIM knows I've done some acting (from watching the film I edited and produced Gameface), today I officially became an actor as we shot several small pieces for Apocalyptic Playground. Great day and I was able to play off my EXTREMELY beautiful and talented costar.

It's the only episode in the series where I wrote the script myself. (It's also the most talky of the episodes) The script was so long though, that the beginning of episode 10 will incorporate the last quarter of it.
