oh wow. Okay. I think I would love for the Rams to make this move!

At best Darnold plays as well as Stafford, and the Rams would still be beatable.

Or maybe instead SD changes back into a pumpkin and the Rams are hamstrung for the next three years with his bad contract!
lol... maybe. But I dont think Sam is a pumpkin...I think he got drafted by the cursed quarterback killers, then when he escaped he had to sign with the lowly Panthers to survive....then a year with a real organization in San Fran coached out some of the stink of his east coast tour...then he got another shot to start in Minnesota..
I might be biased as I was on record to trade a couple firsts to move up and get Sam in that draft. Dude is a legit gunslinger who got drafted in the worst possible situation.
Folks point at his playoff play...but it took Peyton Manning three tries to win in the playoffs.Lots of guys struggle with that at first...but he played fantastic to earn the playoff berth in the first place. IIRC Carson Palmer didnt win a playoff game until he was with us.
Being back in LA might be good for him as well

The #Browns are releasing veteran S Juan Thornhill, sources say. The team and Thornhill’s camp spoke in recent days and the decision was made to part ways now, giving Thornhill a few weeks before free agency to find his next home. Thornhill had one year at $7m left on his deal.

The #Commanders have had trade conversations centered around Pro Bowl DL Jonathan Allen, sources say. Washington plans to do right by the player & Allen’s camp is involved in helping him land at the right spot — either via trade or free agency. He has one year left at $15M.

#Falcons GM Terry Fontenot indicated Kirk Cousins will remain with the team for the foreseeable future. So no quick resolution there.

#Chiefs GM Brett Veach said at the Combine that TE Travis Kelce is “fired up” about entering the final year of his contract and playing. “We left it as, he’d be back and we’re excited to get him back and get him going.”Significant news for KC, as Kelce is set to return.

It's really wild to think that this is in the ballpark of what Trey McBride will get on his extension this season. TJ Hockenson signed a $66 million contract that contains maybe $20 million in fake money. Kittle signed a five-year extension worth $75.8 MM that it looks like he's going to see out.

I wonder if you give McBride a five-year extension worth $80 million, $45 million guaranteed. You can push a ton of that money into this year.
