Granted things were going well, even better than well, record wise, but there were problems that needed to be addressed. Our running game was terrible and fans, many of them anyways, were asking why wasn't JC playing? Not ready, said BA, he's close to playing said SK. Bottom line if PF hadn't gotten hurt, he wouldn't be playing, still. I'm not sure if he's the answer, but such a high draft pick usually is given the opportunity to play.

And when Johnathan Dwyer was released, we were left w/o a big back. AE has been playing hurt all year, and while he's a warrior, it's easy to see that he's wearing down. So we sign Michael Bush, who can't play because he's still learning the offense. But I'm reading that he's been available for months, so why did we wait so long to sign him, instead of signing guys who were mostly the size of AE. Can Bush play, I have no idea, but do know that he, at least, fits the role of a big back.''

Isn't it true that he who hesitates is lost? Let's hope it isn't.

I am a big fan of BASK but I thought the same thing re the running game especially when Blount was released. Bush was available when Dwyer left so why wait to AE is too damaged for it to matter?

The move Keim made was signing Grice. He really played well against us in the preseason game. IMO we should have gone after a big back like Mendenhall & Dwyer. Also, Grice has been a disappointment.

So you think we should have gone out and gotten Mendenhall and Dwyer?
Be careful how many idiots you want on your team. People were calling for Blount and Rice and every other douche in the muscle bound unemployment line.

None of it works without effective interior line blocking. Solve that problem first. Adrian Peterson would look like a bust too.

Use the Jets as an example. They are a bad offensive team, and mostly a passing team. On Monday night they stressed the run and ran for about 300 yards. What did they do differently? I don't know, but whatever they did worked.

Why? Well, maybe because we had Taylor on board, and he was suppose to be the complimentary back to Ellington.

The emperor has no clothes.
For weeks we have been lauding BASK but now the weaknesses come out. Why wasn't the need for a power runner addressed sooner after the injuries? Why did BA continue to use Ellington as a power runner when he is not a power runner?

LOL. This is great stuff. Two weeks ago, BASK were more genius than Einstein and Hawkins combined. Now, they are both complete ********* as some schmo off the street would've fixed the roster better than them.

LOL, why do you guys have so much faith in a moron who has gotten two punts blocked this year because he is too dumb to know when the punting unit goes on?

Stepfan Taylor is a Stanford grad. Robert Hughes, IIRC, let the first punt get blocked.

Not sure why people like Marion Grice, except for his being a former Sun Devil.

I don't care what schools folks are from, you know me, college football is so meh and dirty. But I recall saying "Grice is nice" about 4 or 5 times during the game. Haven't seen enough of him to get a real assessment.

I'm not sure whether or not I have mentioned this before, but they should have drafted Carlos Hyde in round 2. :)

We all have our underdogs to root for...I just want to see one game where he gets close to 20 carries to see if he is one of those guys that needs lots of carries per game.

The team recognized the need for a big back, because when Mendenhall retired they signed Dwyer. They just waited too long to replace him. Ajcardfan, to say because BASK have been great means that they can do no wrong is just stupid. One does not negate the other.

It's been noticed that both BA and SK have usually worn down soles on their right shoes... Could be due to their feet dragging affliction.

This thread has really opened my eyes about some of the sports history I have witnessed over the years , and wondered about .
I wondered things like , why did Lombardi lead the Packers to only six championship games over nine seasons (winning five including the first two super bowls) . The answer was right there in front of me ""FOOT DRAGGING"" by Lombardi and the Front Office .

John Wooden -UCLA Basket Ball .
Why did the Bruins only win Ten National Championship's in the twelve seasons JW was there ? Its clear now that JW and the AD's Office were ""FOOT DRAGGING"" causing two missed opportunity's !!!!

Or maybe Sam Gilbert's funds dried up those 2 years and the player's pay scale had to be lowered.

Glad I didn't say that then!

I just think the dramatic mood swing in two weeks is amusing. And, yes, I overstated my point.

Jets are not a passing team. If Ryan had Manning or Brady he would still want to run the ball at least 50% of the time. His battle cry is ground and pound.

They did run it more against the Dolphins but I wonder how much that had to do with Ryan giving his GM the finger since the forced Geno Smith into the starting lineup. Ryan says to Mornhinweg, since Idzik is making us start Smith I want a game plan that runs the ball 85% of the time.

That whole game plan by Ryan was thumbing his nose at the GM. Ryan obviously hates Geno Smith. The GM made him play him so he called more runs since forever.

You would probably run most of the game too if your QBs were Smith and Vick.
