I don't understand the obsession with signing Reddick. 4 teams in 7 years, tried to force his way out of the Jets before playing a snap, is 30 and had a half a sack in 9 games, which ranked 14th in his own team.

Agree, and he was undersized to begin with.
We need to move on from Hasan as much as it sucks how it worked out with him here that time has passed.

I see that as a positive...

The NFL has achieved its goal of parity by teams being mediocre. Good/bad Kyler will not matter as much as if he can play a whole season, because week to week I see a lot of bad Kylers on winning teams. There are no corners to turn in the NFL any longer for the most part, just a circle that cycles through unpredictability from week to week. Stabilize this defense with a little standout talent, and you will win more often than not when playing the motley cast of inconsistent QBs which the NFL has

2024 Cardinals did not have a 10 win roster.

Sure they did.

They are going to finish 8-9 and lost to both the Seahawks and Rams in games we should have won. Not to mentions Vikings, Bills etc

Bunch of games where if we have Burrow or Herbert at QB we win and this team has more than 10 wins.

That in no way means it is a 10 win roster. The defensive personnel are grossly worse than Nick Rallis had them playing. You cannot count on that level of "coaching them up" year after year.

Could flip this the other way & say Dolphins, Chargers, & 49ers games “we should have lost” though.

I think Monti will for an EDGE early, but I am not sure what he will be looking for. My hope is that he finds a way to land Carter, Green, Pearce or Princely...one of those guys whose main skill is getting after the QB. What you should worried about is him grabbing a guy like Mykel Williams who is more of a project as a pass rusher. That is fine in round 2, but something I worry about in round 1.

Based on his prior drafts, he is going to reach about a round early on where guys are projected to get what he feels are his guys

The roster would have 10 wins with better QB play. It's that simple.

What's a 10 win roster? It's not what a roster looks like on paper. I know that much.

First all of all to the person who said Ojulari was a bust because he got hurt, that is ridiculous. He had a very good rookie season and could repeat and improve from that.

We managed to get in the top 15 in sacks and points allowed on defense with our ENTIRE DEFENSIVE LINE HURT. Which included our best "pass rusher" Gardeck.

Our defense scheme is impressive to say the least. What Gannon and Rallis did short-handedly with a massive amount of injuries is hard to believe.

It is also related to the point I will make now. We need an offensive "shot" weapon to stretch the field and we need an assistant to prevent Petzing from making boneheaded calls.

Like the 3rd and 17 WR reverse that never should have been called.

Those of you who think a 4 win season last year into an 8 win season this year is a failure, I don't want to tell you.

It was a disappointing second half of the season.

ESPN had us at 7.5 wins at the beginning of preseason and this is the 2 of 3 years in the rebuild.

I predicted 9-8 with us missing the playoffs. People acting like if we won 10 games we would make a deep run are being a little naive. Yeah I don't like that Kyler and the team got inconsistent.

I also understand the whole picture and at the end of the day we need another offensive weapon to compete. We need overwhelming fire-power.

Its 2025 or bust for Murray imo.

2nd round and he needs to win a playoff game minimum.

Monti needs to make some moves for depth and make the big splash on offense.

CITATION NEEDED. Been showed the pass rush ability of Zaven Collins and the run game prowess of Dennis Gardeck.

When he was able to get on the field.

It’s going to be extremely awkward for you if the Cards lose today.

I see less obvious wins in next seasons schedule.

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

There's 4 teams there drafting in the top 10 and 7 teams in total that were worse than us this year. We beat the Rams this year, should have beat the Seahawks too.

I like this better than this years schedule.

I think the Cardinals are just a couple of key players away from making the playoffs.

#1 priority is a Pass Rusher via FA. Doesn't have to be an Elite guy but someone who can consistently get 8-10 sacks and make the QB feel uncomfortable. Then continue to draft young guys and hope one hits. Jalon Walker, Edge Georgia in the first round of the draft?

#2 priority is a WR #2 via FA/Trade. Someone who can stretch the field and complements MHJr, McBride and Wilson. I also continue to draft young WRs in the middle of the draft and hope you find a gem.

#3 priority is a NT/DT who can collapse the pocket and stuff the run. Mason Graham, DT Michigan in the first round of the draft?

#4 priority is better depth on the OL. Josh Simmons, OT Ohio St. in the first round of the draft as future RT?

The away schedule is brutal, the home schedule has 3 teams we -should- beat, to me the rest are a toss up.

If we were in last place in the division, we'd be playing;
The Bears instead of the Packers
The Giants instead of the Cowboys
The Browns instead of the Bengals

What's brutal?

Cowboys sucked this year, even with Dak. We beat them in Dallas last time we played them and we were a worse team. Colts are meh and have no QB. Saints are bad and likely blow it up. Bengals didn't make the playoffs and will have a new defense to learn. We should have beat the Texans in Houston last year when we were bad and they were good. Had 3 picks but the offense blew.

Apart from division games Bucs is the matchup I like least for us. But it's not all that bad.
