Yes. But only because he's a Cardinal first round draft pick. Tough for me to shake 50 years of tradition sometimes.

I'm not concerned per se, but I'm a bit uneasy.

Wouldn't it be funny if all this is just hype, and a ruse to have our opponents feel he was a bust --- only to have the staff whip him out to kick some _ _ _ during the season opener------just hopin"

I am concerned.

Not because I know anything, but just that the history of the NFL is rife with the number of talented players who seem to become victims of "chronic bad luck."

I'm nervous that we're beginning to see the beginning of a pattern established.

I sure hope I'm wrong and, that a month or two from now we'll watch Beanie rack up mega-yardage.

(Part of my feeling no doubt is a knee-jerk reaction with roots borne in the bad old days of Cardinal football. I keep forgetting that we're now in a bright new era).

Get better, Beanie.

It's not a great sign, hopefully it's nothing but I'm concerned.

I am concerned because of his history of injuries and the durability issues that dropped him from the top 15 to #31 overall on draft day. To have no concern at all would be delusional. Hopefully he heals and has a productive season. But the history of being nicked up during his college career and starting off with the ankle sprain in his very first training camp practice is certainly not a positive.

Fortunately Tim Hightower seems to have come alive in the offseason.

I voted "yes," not because I think this specific injury is of concern, but rather because the knock on him coming in was that he was either injury prone or not tough enough to play through it. Getting injured on day 1 isn't a good way to dispel those fears.

Also, missing most of camp is going to set him back and probably multiply his injury concerns during the year because he won't be in the shape he needs to be in to withstand a full NFL season.

Well then call me delisional. Missed 3 games in 3 years, the guy balls when he has to ball. Who cares what the injury report says Monday through Saturday, what happened on Sunday?

Last nights thing was already blown out of proportion, its not even going to keep him out of practice today, Wiz just said to the media he is practicing.

Until I seen him take a hand off in a game and barrell ahead for 4 or 5 tough yards , call me concerned.

No middle ground? Mark me down for somewhere in the middle. Realizing he has a history of this is sorta upsetting.

I recall reading reports that he was not as effective his junior year because of the toe injury. That and other nicks during his career obviously concerned some teams because he's an outstanding top-10 talent when healthy IMO, yet he fell all the way to the Cardinals at #31.

Also, you're delisional. :D

Mostly concerned over the lack of practice time. After missing OTAs because of school and then the ankle problem, it seems like Brett Favre has had more team practice time with the Vikings than Beanie has had with the Cards.

So, not so much concerned about the injury as I am about when he'll be ready to be a difference maker in our regular season offense.

124 yards per game as a Junior.
120 yards per game as a Senior.

Technically you are right he was less ineffective. :mulli:

And Wells fell because the teams that wanted a RB (Colts and Broncos) wanted one that could catch which fits their system better and Wells cant catch or pass block.

He was the most one dimensional of the 1st round running backs.
