I had to explain myself, I only post when I feel I positively contribute to the forum, or because I feel another's post warrants a comeback lol

Shaq last year when he signed with the Suns was much slower and did not look this agile in the low-post. Right now he is just too fast for the other big men to handle and he's bigger than the other big men as well. All they could do is grab him and hope they don't catch an elbow to the jaw. Now that he's hitting freethrows (knocking on wood), the double team has to come down there, opening up our ridiculously accurate 3 points shooters.

In a van...down by the river.
I'm very happy with the Shaqtus this season. He hasn't alienated, manipulated,or otherwise said or done anything to divide the lockerroom.
His on the court play has been huge....he's been unselfish with the ball,a leader, dominant at times with his rebounding and scoring, and most of all....WTF is with the committment to improve his FT shooting? Wow. This guy is an old dog, a lock for the HOF, his entire career his achiles heel has been his attrocious FT%(and everyone has just accepted that) and i believe he's truly turned the corner now.
Shaq is a winner. Amazing.

Shaq is making Amare look bad now. Hopefully Amare doesn't open his mouth up.

right... because there's NEVER multiple threads about the same exact thing on a message board. Geez, who made you king of internet? I hope this post doesn't send you into another of your rages where you lament the "lack of respect given to that you've earned here".

andrew, to answer your question... I'm not just impressed. I'm BLOWN AWAY. Dude's right now playing at the same level he did when he first got to Miami... and there he was the first runner up to the MVP... so, yeah, BLOWN AWAY.

Hey, we agree! That explains the pig flying by my window a few minutes ago... ;)

Many of you thought I was a huge fanatic of a player on the decline, but Shaq has been the most consistent Suns player this season
Consistency implies playing in every game that you are physically able to play. I will be very impressed if Shaq plays in all of the four games we have coming up in the next five days, even if his production is somewhat lower on the second nights.

with the Cards hosting the NFC Title game, there's a lot of those pigs flying around right now!

and jesus YouGotSuns... why is it necessary to comment on someone's appearance? Jut talk basketball... and you wonder why you don't "get the respect you deserve".

The sad thing is Shaq could play every other night for the rest of the season and still be our most consistent player.

Considering how talented our team is, i don't think that'd be sad at all.

Shaq has done well aa his teammates are getting used to him I find it odd that this becomes a forum for bashing Amare because Shaq is playing well.

I think it is striking that teams like te Hawks tried to stop Shaq one on one. In a year Amare is averaging 21.6 ppg (0582 per minute) while Shaq is scoring 17.7 ppg (0.582 per minute). Shaq is rebounding better at 9.0 rpg (029.6 per minute( to Amare's 8.4 (0.226). This is a nice inside duo.

If you watched the games, you'd understand why so many on this board are dissatisfied with Stoudemire. It's not about his numbers.

Exactly. If Amare had half the heart of Lou, he would be the considered a top 2 player in the league. Sadly, Amare's bought into his own hype and is actually delusional enough to think he's playing good defense.

you know what you never hear good defenders talk about? how good they are at defense. Amare is quickly becoming a clown in my eyes with all the ridiculous hilarity that comes out of his mouth.

Severely disappointing...I thought for sure Amare was going to turn into a Lebron like figure, and will the Suns to multiple championships, ala Duncan. (Especially after the classic Spurs series pre-microfracture) I've come to the realization that unless he has a Tyson Chandler/Shaq figure alongside him, there is no chance he is winning a championship. His effort is piss poor in rebounding and defense, and that's what separates him from the transcendent players.

Amare has to mature more, no doubt about that. He is certainly capable of rebounding and playing defense, he just has to buy into it. He is an offensive juggernaut, he is an All-Star, he will eventually see it can't be all done by offense. If anyone can help him transition into a more all around solid player, it's Shaq. But it doesn't happen over night.

sorry I meant "him" and yes thats me in my avatar

For some reason this does not surprise me. You should grow it out until Shaq wins another ring or MVP!!!

Andrew....I wish we lived closer to each other because I would love to have you hang out with my group of friends...I truly mean it.
