On the first day of 2018 he gets 5M roster bonus, 2018 salary guaranteed and 8M of 2019 guaranteed. So big decision this offseason!

You still eat 9.3mil in dead money...how is that a good thing? We cut Mathieu, eating 9.3 mil, so we can save enough to sign another Antoine Bethea? 4.8 mil only goes so far. I guess you save the 14.1 mil towards the cap in 2019, but it still seems like bad math.

I don't know...ideally you get him to take a pay cut, but I have a tough time seeing that happening. It is tough because he still has value as a player, but it is far from equitable in relation to the production you get.

Our two pieces that carry over to next year should be Humphries LT and Boehm C.

Maybe we can play Boone a year at LG. Not giving up on Veldheer at RT after 2 games, but if he stinks (or retires) we will need to replace the right side of the line at minimum. Maybe we can actually draft a player and develop him. Fill the other spot with a journeyman. Next year is not looking promising anyway

Humphries has shown NOTHING so far. I am not counting on him to be anything more than bad until I see different which he has to get on the field to do.

Seriously. D.J. Humphries played 8 snaps against Detroit, and Paul Calvisi is on the radio like "Man, he was really handling Ziggy Ansah when he was out there!"

What happened to Rodney Gunther? At one time he was Brenston Buckners pet project. He use to be in the rotation for snaps. Says he only got two this game. Has he regressed? Injured? Or in the doghouse?

I honestly can't remember him making a good play like ever. He's definitely the last lineman on the depth chart.

Only standout play I remember him making was a sack against the Bengals in 2015.

Early prediction for Monday Night:

- Plenty more player-blaming and F-bombs from BA

- Palmer continues to make ill-advised throws, while executing a few clutch tosses as well.

- JJ Nelson will disappear this game because, well, he's JJ Nelson, not Jordy Nelson...

- Chris Johnson will likely resemble the CJ we saw in preseason, mainly due to no blocking, no holes and the overall craptastity of our oline.

- The Cowgirlz will play with tons of passion and purpose coming off their loss and this being Monday night.

- Zeke runs for 95+ yards and along with a controlled passing game, the Cowgirlz wear down our defense, ultimately winning a decisive game like 24-10...

I think you just cut and pasted a recap of what Detroit did to the Giants last night.:)

Stop the run stop the run & stop the run!!!

We can beat these guys if that's #1 priority focus while getting some hits on the QB.

I think Carson will play well

Haha. You guys are funny. Honey Badger made an interception in pre season ....and every one was like ...He is back!!! Guys it's been 2 games!! Let's look at this again at game 12-14. He just saved the game Sunday. Lol. He is easing back...I think he will be fine. Different defense this year. His role is different.

One good thing about Bettcher is that he does make good game to game adjustments, I think he really uses the information and feedback of the position coaches. So while I am not too hip with his lack of late game adjustments and lack of heavy blitzing until BA pushes him, he isn't without value ( I just think he should be the D coordinator asst vs the play caller)
