FWIW, I dont think Budda got burned. Safety (one of the thompsons) made a poor read and decided to help the corner on the 15 yard out instead of helping Budda on a straight vertical

I think the problem is that he straight up got beat on the play. I agree the Thompson twin covering the other route was the wrong read. The other wasn't a post, and posts are much more dangerous routes since you don't have the sideline to help you defend.

This is on top of how few plays Budda makes. Right now he is just a guy, but he is touted as a young star, which he clearly is not.

He didnt get "straight up beat." do you understand how zones work? defenders escort a receiver through their zone and pass him off to the next zone. The next zone was thompson's but he wasnt there.

Budda may have been slowing and preparing to move back towards the LOS and center of his zone as his receiver got passed to the deep safety. Too bad the deep safety wasnt there.... mistakes were made and Im not sure you can completely blame it on Budda. very tough to know for sure.

but yes, I would love to see Budda make more plays. He gave us a solid season of making plays last year. Thats still in him.

Bosa's Flag plant was such a baller move. Then telling the world that he had it coming after the game.

I wanted Kyler, no doubt, but damn man...... I loved every bit of that.

It was classless and it will bite him in the ass at some point in all probability. Players should be like Larry... kick ass and act like that is enough. This flag waving BS, the preening, the posing for pics... all BS. All it does is give your enemies ammunition to use against you when the tables turn. And, they will turn. Don't be surprised if that is the best game Bosa EVER has. I don't know if he can be better, maybe so. but, don't start writing checks you can't cash unless you know for sure.

And, yes, I am well aware Baker Mayfield is a douche. and his preening and posing just bit him in the ass. but it is what goes around, comes around. Watch out Bosa.

I do understand how zones work. I think you just wasted seconds of your life posting an explanation that 99% of the board understands.

Budda Baker has ZERO career interceptions and a paltry EIGHT pass breakups, to go with 3 sacks. He is not a playmaking, and never has been. Right now he just a guy.
