Arians on Mendenhall: Starter?

How can you state this after saying you haven't watched much of Mendenhall?

Because I know Mendenhall's stats, size and speed numbers. I can determine what level of athlete he is by those. What I can't say with certainty is how good his feet are, does he have good vision, and how does he handle cutbacks. I haven't watched him enough to tell you how good his feet are, but I know or can look up how fast he is and how high he jumps.

I don't think Haley had anything to do with some of the ignorance he spouts on Twitter and that probably had a lot of impact on how his teammates felt about him.

I could care less about the guy's politics. If he can run the rock, that is all that matters.

I was just commenting on why he may not have been well liked by his former teammates.

I think the guy is an idiot but if he can play I can overlook it.

Going back to his college days at Illinois, Mendenhall had great feet. I've always like Mendenhall but I'm just not sure how much his injuries have taken a toll on him.

He could be a real steal or he could be very pedestrian. I think he's worth taking a chance on returning to form.

Agreed. Loved him before the draft and still young. Would much rather go with this guy then another season of one game a year Beanie Wells. And I loved Wells physical skill set. Worth a shot!

How to tank a successful NFL 2013 season (from Wiki Hippie):

Be in a division where your losses won't be suspect.

Run first and have a crappy QB(s) to blame it on.... in a passing league this is gold Jerry!!

Get Stanton and Mendy

Lose some key players and call it contract/Cap issues, this has only really happened on defense, unless you consider letting Kolb go as part of the tank.

Release the vets that really run the team while on the field.

Make decisions that don't make sense, but do it from an orginization that nobody will notice.

I know no one cares about fantasy football when compared to the outcome of the actual football team but...

You might keep an eye on Mendenhall as a fantasy sleeper if we get a QB that can actually move the ball. My thought process being that it's rare that a coach actually says he prefers a 1 back system and is going to feature the guy.

Anyways, I'm fine with them going with Mendy at starter. I really despise what he's said on twitter but I suspect that I'd probably despise quite a few players if I knew them personally
