Agree but it’s time for a new identity for this team.
Dont think we need a new identity, just better players. A team that starts players like Townsend and ADO has no business being contenders.

Duke's offensive rating against Arizona was 141.1, per @kenpomeroy, the 2nd-highest the Wildcats have allowed in a game since 1997 (Louisville, 2013 Sweet 16, 148.9)

But the UA had an offensive rating of 131.2, which was the 10th-highest against Duke since 1997

The last thing Arizona should complain about is the officiating............

They played well, played scrappy, Duke was resilient and will move on
Agreed. It was just that one call that o thought was egregious considering they just made the same call not much more than a few minutes prior. Overall I thought the officiating was very good.

It wasn't the same circumstance at all, but can get the debate

Officiating was horrible thought though

Some of the worst I've seen

Clear out forearms to Duke defenders not called, then their guy gets a cheap call on a pretty obvious Arizona flop

The pull down by Arizona has Flagg completely run through and knocked over in that same area - should have been whistled there - then it should have been whistled with the pull down - end result even after the review was +1 pt to Arizona that should never have happened

The first 4-5 minutes I lost count of the extended shoves to move guys out of rebounding position.

So much grabbing and shoving. Guys going for lobs and the defender consistently playing the body.

That crew looked completely lost, missed so much and still ended up over calling the game somehow - I hope to never see them again - just brutal and took away from the game

I don’t even know how you can make this statement. Literally both of the commentators and the former official were all shocked and couldn’t stop talking about the hypocrisy of the two calls.

In the 2025 postseason, Caleb Love shot 54% from 2, 47% from 3 & 95% from the line.He averaged 21.8 points, 5.5 rebounds & 2.8 assists. He led his team to push AP No. 2 Houston in XII title game & No. 1 Duke in Sweet 16.When his team needed him most, Love was at his best.

They also quoted NBA rules the Maryland winner

One dude was an NFL ref

My eyes saw a guy under the basket, off the ball have a guy behind him grab his arm, pull him to the ground and hold him to the ground

The other was at the top of 3pt line, involved a screen, the ball was present and a couple other players

The Arizona player went to rub thru the screen, they were chest to chest, he got his forearm in there, the Duke player grabbed it and held him, he tried to push through, they both got off balance and bumped into other players and fell, the Duke player released the grab - which steratore also acknowledged

They also only briefly showed the reverse angle of all that, - so we weren't seeing what the actual refs were reviewing

One was a whole lot closer to a basketball foul - the other was grabbing a guy from behind and just dragging him down

Even with that they could have called or against Duke as well - but they were far from identical

I wouldn't have had an issue if they did call it a flagrant

It just wasn't the exact same thing like what was being yelled and it wasn't this big moment in the overall context of the game and incredibly awful officiating thought

It also didn't change that the refs swallowing their whistle in the foul against Flagg and the initial pull down by Arizona gifted Arizona 3 points and cost Duke a foul - none of that resulting stuff should have happened

Duke got fouled twice and it cost them a point on the scoreboard and a foul on their ledger - which is ridiculous in it's own right

This crew was awful all around - both teams caught stays, I think Duke caught the worst of it overall

Yeah, he played phenomenal

My son and I were debating about his NBA potential - I'm trying to think of guys who played 5 years in college and made an impact, but he was hitting some really tough buckets and creating openings

I’m guessing you’re a Duke fan or an asu fan or had Duke in your final four. To claim that the Duke pull down wasn’t a deliberate pulldown - same as the Bradley pull down - is just gaslighting. Doesn’t matter where the ball is located. The rule apparently is a deliberate pull down is flagrant. Both were the same in that regard.

His game is too unpredictable. The variance in his performance is too great for the league imo.

You clearly see the guy hit the back of his legs when they are tangled up to get him to fall, right? The bigs are jostling and 0 for AZ gets into his hips/back of his legs. It wasn't a pulldown in space that was purely a pulldown.

He also let go when falling.

Both of these are very clear, very different from each other.

It was actually called when it happened - unlike the obvious Arizona foul that ended up being a detriment to Duke.

The horrible crew then was going to give Arizona free throws on an offensive foul

Again, they could have called it and it would have been fine.

They were not close to "identical" though

It's also difficult to hear Arizona complain about it when their foul led to a 3 point play because the refs didn't whistle it at all, despite staring right at it
