There is yet another seven-round mock draft this week. Pro Football Network put together another full mock draft going all seven rounds. There aren't really any surprises at the top, but we can look at what they have for the Arizona Cardinals.

In these projections, the Cardinals do mot make any trades. They address their defense with their first two picks, take two receivers, an offensive lineman and a tight end.

Let's have a look.

Cardinals' draft picks in 7-round mock draft

  • Round 1: Georgia EDGE Jalon Walker
  • Round 2: Kentucky DT Deone Walker
  • Round 3: Oregon WR Tez Johnson
  • Round 4: Oregon OT Ajani Cornelius
  • Round 5: Clemson TE Jake Briningstool
  • Round 7: UCF WR Kobe Hudson

Analysis

It would be hard to pass up on Walker if he were available with the 16th pick. The question is how the Cardinals would use him. They were not very big on using Isaiah Simmons in multiple roles before they released him in 2023. So they would probably focus on the edge, although he is a little undersized.

Chances are that he isn't available. Based on who is available, Walker makes sense, although with Ohio State tackle Josh Simmons on the board, it might be hard for them to pass on him, considering their new O-line coach was at Ohio State last season.

Taking a defensive lineman in the second round is believable. Walker is enormous at 6-foot-7 and 331 pounds. Think Calais Campbell but bigger.

Johnson is smaller than the new receivers the Cardinals have added in the last two years. He is a little bigger than Greh Dortch and is faster.

Adding Cornelius in the fourth round doesn't really move the needle. He has athleticism and some length.

The Cardinals don't need a tight end but easily could upgrade from Travis Vokolek. Briningstool is build like a lot of tight ends at 6-5 and 241. He is athletic enough but not special in that sense, and he was productive, catching 50 passes for 498 yards and five scores in 2023 and 49 for 530 and seven last season.

Hudson is almost 6-1 and averaged 17.8 yards per catch in three seasons for UCF, but his 4.57-second 40 isn't great.
