I know this will probably be a heated topic of debate because there are people who love or hate Minter, but I think we can all agree that for the sake of the team we all love, it would be fantastic if he is right. He's saying all the right things, and I am in KM's corner. Do us proud bud.

Those who gotta hate will do so. I am very happy to see that Minter has taken hold of his position as that guy who's responsibility will be to contain Kaepernic and Wilson, and other mobile QBs who threaten our D-line. Not only has BA proclaimed him as 'the guy', but videos of TC have shown that to be fact also. I am curious to see if, in fact, Demens is the guy to back him up, because he flashed very well as a rookie.

I have had confidence in Keim since his time under Graves when he was constantly being over ridden by Whisenhunt. Minter was drafted by Keim, and Demens was brought in by Keim as an undrafted free agent. It would be really nice to see both of them prove in this third year that they are the future leaders of our Defense. I look forward to seeing that happen beginning Saturday, against the Chiefs.

truth hurts. I hope to hell this kid does SOMETHING this year. He's been a complete non-entity so far in his career and deserves every bit of derision until he shows something on the field.

Truthfully, I give him some latitude because he played with a torn pec last season and reportedly couldn't do one push-up. I thought it was a bad pick at the time and would love to be proven wrong due to the uncertainty surrounding Spoon's injury and Washington's reinstatement application.

We'll see. I haven't really bashed Minter like some. He's been much more productive than Cooper to this point in their careers and it seems most are still giving him the benefit of the doubt.

He has to show me what he can do. Still a liability in coverage no matter what. So other teams may option to throw on first or second down seeing him in the game and use a mismatch to expose him.

Don't you ever listen to what BA is saying. He has no intention of having Minter in to cover receivers in the nickel. He is only to be a guy who is a run stopper, and a contain on mobile QBs. That's it. He has set up the whole defense to do just that and Minter is not intended to be a third down linebacker in coverage.

I don't know where you have been this off season, but he has more than earned it in OTAs and in TC this year. All you have to do is go the the main site and watch the videos. He is all over the place making plays except for in coverage. That is precisely what BA wants from him.

So he's a situational player who's going to be the leader of the team considering he'll only be on the field 50-80% of the time?
