I still say the Cards made a mistake by not drafting or moving up to select Anthony or Kendricks:mad:

Unless Humphries turns into an All-Pro, I will forever be mad at the pick.
We drafted a position that wasn't even the biggest need for our position group.
We should've drafted Kendricks to fill our ILB need so that way we wouldn't have to rely on underwhelming Minter & a bunch of UDFA's.

I think they were depending on Sean Weatherspoon and Minter and a bunch of UDFAs.

I have no problem really with the process that lead them to pick Humphries. It's the same process they used to select Niklas the year before. The problem is that if that process doesn't work out (select an underclassman hoping that when he's needed in a year he'll have emerged as a top talent — buy low, sell high), the Cards have to show me that they can move on to something else.

They tried to do something similar in over-drafting (IMO) Housler.

yeah. you guys are right. because beyond a shadow of a doubt...ILB was the reason this team fell off a cliff late last season. a better ILB and we were definitely super bowl bound. just suxx that for some reason the team management cannot see what is so obvious...we get a one man pass rush and we will be a dynasty...........at least two rings if we just draft a guy who can cover a TE....

damn coach is a pure idiot wasting a draft pick trying to keep the QB healthy

I was more angered back in time when we drafted for need and failed than I am about drafting their BPA now.

Yea I forgot to mention Spoon, but I'm still concerned about his health.

No but it damn well could be this year oaken!

Our ILB position is atrocious right now & this team is still counting on a player (Spoon) who's always hurt & another who can't cover my grandma (she's passed btw). Another we don't know if he's living in Alaska or smoking dope with Snoop Dog nightly. Talk about a complete dumpster Fire!!! Wow:bang:

I love DJ as a player & did before the draft, but winning the Super Bowl starts & ends with beating Seattle & containing Russell Wilson. He simply destroyed the Cards last year because we had no speed at LB. We totally neglected that in the draft & could've had 1 or both those players I mentioned, which greatly would've improved our chance to hoist the Lombardi in the next 2 years imo.

Eric Kendricks... the guy struggling to beat Audie Cole for the Vikings starting ILB job

(Yes... the same Audie Cole who couldn't beat out world beater Jasper Brinkley for the starting job in 2014)

the interior line in seattle is weak. we can also beat them by pushing/collapsing the pocket right into his face...make him have to move right away....he plays very good on the run, but the more he has to move the greater the odds are for a mistake,...or a sprain....
if the center of the pocket collapses he is going to lob it over the line to graham in most cases....where we will be waiting.... Wilson is short,...he cannot see over a huge d line if they are in close...he will give up the rock just like doug flutie did,..and jeff Garcia did....all our outside guys have to do for that to happen is ride the tackles back in their arc.
it really suxx we lost our big man in the middle for the season as he was really playing well...chiefs interior line is far better than the hags.... but Gunter seams to be growing into the position fast...and now he has motivation to do so even faster.
If we make it deep into the playoffs it will most likely mean that rookie made the pro bowl. Really looking forward to seeing the san diego game to get a better look at the defensive youngsters..... we do really need spoon to pay off this season,...but I am fine with it if he wants to play games and stand around until the season starts,...we have seen what he can do. Deone will be crucial against the hags as well.....

side note...the last time Palmer played against the hags, we beat them....IMO...gonna do it again too

Let's not fool ourselves here. The last time Palmer played the Hags he was awful and Dansb/Washington/Dockett/Abraham helped the D DOMINATE. That's was the deciding factor that won us that game. That was a much different defense playing at an elite level with speed off the edge and in the middle of the field. Right now, it doesn't look like we have any of that speed/elite playmaking ability at the spots needed to contain Wilson.
