Godley threw a beautiful curve in the dirt to strike out Baez and end the inning and Avilla let it get past.

I saw that - but Godley gets so easily rattled, he needed to come out after that.

Avilla got a foul tip to the balls that really doubled him over a couple of minutes before. I think he was still feeling it.

Godleys a nut case but I think at least 2 of the 4 runs he gave up should have been unearned.

And he gives up a 2 run homer. Tie game.

And then gives up the winning homer. Wow he just knows how to blow a save.

What's our record with Avila behind the dish? Feels like we get worse pitching outcomes with him catching.

Blowburglar has weak stuff. That's why he's given up more home runs than any other closer.

He's has nothing to do how well the pitchers pitch. Boxberger blow this save on his own a to the extreme.

Why is everything so hyperbolic in this forum? The Cubs have the best offense in the NL (DBacks are middle-of-the-pack), and yet both teams had 5 hits. Sure, it was a boring game. But a terrible error in a tight game came back to bite them. Sucks, but it happens. Ray pitched great, which I was not expecting given his recent past. Hopefully Godley can have a great game today.

Take a peak at ALL of MLB team offensive stats... and if you can come up with a more accurate way to describe our offense, go for it! [emoji6]
