Torey is an absolute moron. Gave away the game yesterday by using marginal RPs. Got his best relievers available, but won't likely need them today with Quarter Gallen pitching another gem. Already down by 5 runs. Looks like the Cubs will have a nice home sweep unless another miracle happens. Of course, if that does happen, Torey will blow it again with poor in game managing, as per usual.

I really don’t see the need for McCarthy to still be in the bigs… There has to be multiple dudes down on the farm who are more capable at the plate than Jake…

Maybe send Torey down to Reno with him. Although you must have loved the bullpen moves made by Torey in Friday's game, given your reaction to my earlier post. Sorry, but the handling of the bullpen on Friday was atrocious. You don't just give away a game when you are in the best division in baseball and looking up at three other teams in the standings right now.

I don't see much point in lobbying for Torrey to go anywhere. He's the manager for the foreseeable future. They certainly do need more production from the outfieldsers other than Carroll though.

Some of these guys need to start hitting because the top of the batting order can;t carry the team through the whole season without any help.

Hampson and Herrera aren't MLB-quality players, and McCarthy needs to go to Reno and straighten himself out. And it's starting to look to me like they would have been better off with Marte in the outfield again with Lawlar at 2nd and Gurriel on the bench.

Fair enough. I do not post about every move Torey makes. I do call out those instances in which his managerial decisions truly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. That was certainly the case on Friday. And due to the strength of the teams in the division, every game is important (see last year's playoff miss by one game for reinforcement of that concept).

If Naylor had slid on the side of home plate opposite the catcher and reached out to the plate he would have made it.

Nice job by the bullpen - a shout out to Miller who has been great all year (still no earned runs allowed this season).

And it was great to see Jameson get the save.

I don’t post often, but I do enjoy reading many of the constructive comments and insights here. I lived in Kingman and Prescott for nearly 30 years and moved to New Hampshire 3 years ago. We are die-hard DBacks fans and would NEVER be fans of the Red Sox or any other team. We watch every game with the MLB package.

It is interesting what pitchers were not available. I was blaming Torey too but we do not have the inside info he does. No one but Torey knows what his options were. We are all Realtors, Accountants or whatever field. We do not have the inside information he does. And none of us have ever been a MLB Manager. Yet, we know better.
