They also hit Jay twice today. Tomorrow should be fun :)

Edit: maybe it was once today, and one yesterday. Either way he’s been hit twice this series.

Jay getting hit is not the same thing. That guy loves to get hit.

It was twice. The second one that hit him barely got him.

Diamondbacks' David Peralta: Records four hits
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Peralta went 4-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a run scored Saturday against the Rockies.

Peralta has made himself at home at Coors Field, as he followed up a strong Friday performance with another stat-stuffing line Saturday. Through two games of the weekend series, he is now 7-for-10 with four RBI and two runs scored. This production is coming at the right time for Peralta, as he had been scuffling at the plate, hitting just .235/.264/.422 over the last 30 days.

Diamondbacks' Nick Ahmed: Doubles twice, homers
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Ahmed went 3-for-5 with a home run, two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored Saturday against the Rockies.

Ahmed produced throughout the game, starting with his ninth home run of the season in the second inning against Chad Bettis and capping his night off with a two-RBI double in the eighth inning. Despite just a .221 batting average, Ahmed continues to flash surprising power as he has already tied his career-best home run total in a single season through just 199 at-bats.

Diamondbacks' Matt Koch: Allows five earned runs
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire
Koch allowed seven runs (five earned) on eight hits and a walk while striking out two across five innings Saturday against the Rockies. He did not factor into the decision.

Koch struggled with Coors Field as he surrendered three home runs, the first time he has allowed multiple home runs in a start since May 16. The one positive to take from his effort was that he wasn't handed a loss thanks to the run support he received from the Diamondbacks' offense. With both Shelby Miller and Robbie Ray nearing a return to the rotation, Koch may have a limited number of starts remaining in his future.

Marte was held out of the Diamondbacks lineup during Saturday's 12-7 win over the Rockies due in part to a tender right shoulder, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports. "Maybe created some tenderness in his right shoulder," Arizona manager Torey Lovullo said of Marte, who initially got banged up after sliding awkwardly into third base June 3 against the Marlins. "He could play. He's available off the bench. I just want to get him ahead of it instead of playing even. We're trying to nurse him through this situation right now."

As Lovullo suggested, Marte was available off the bench and ended up entering the contest as a pinch hitter, going 0-for-2 on the evening. Marte's exit from the lineup opened up a spot in the middle infield for the struggling Nick Ahmed, who came through with one of his best games of the season (3-for-5, one home run, two doubles, three RBI). Ahmed's performance Saturday as well as the recent hot hitting of Daniel Descalso could result in the Diamondbacks deploying a rotation in the middle infield, though Marte should see plenty of playing time thanks to his own strong form at the dish of late. Each of Marte's last nine hits have gone for extra bases, with the 24-year-old submitting a 1.226 OPS in his last 10 games heading into Saturday.

This umpire is the worst I’ve seen all year. He’s off by up to a foot.

And no consistency at all!

I liked Goldy batting second after Jay. Ahmed is not a good number 2 hitter.
