And a 12 pitch 1-2-3 inning to end it...
As I’ve said, this team will not win its’ way into the post season... The only way they make it is if LA and COL crap the bed worse than the Dbacks are soiling their panties...
Offense remains putrid. And though Archie didn’t cost them the game tonight, he looks awful and will continue to until he can develop a credible 3rd pitch. He is so hittable...

Long time Phoenician!
Two hits over the last 4 innings of the game. They are the 'AON' D-backs. All-or-nothing.
Aside from some home runs now and then, the D-backs do not know how to manufacture runs.
If it were one or two players, that would be one thing. But this is the whole team.
They hit only in spurts. I put that on the Manager and Batting Coach.
And with Archie giving up an insurance run late in the game, I put that on the Manager and Pitching Coach.
Archie needs to be put on the DL until his broken finger nail heals. Ziegler, Yoshi and Boxberger 7-8-9. Luckily, we have them.
I see a pattern in red here.

Man, that is a bad quote from Luvullo. "I think there were just several mistakes that Zack made in that one inning that ended up costing us the game." Really. Down 4-2 after 4 "cost us the game"? Not a good quote coming from a manager - even if not quite in context.

I see that Jay (and his .236 batting average) has replaced Pollock (.284) in CF for tonight's game -- the second of the series.
If there nothing wrong with Pollock's health, it looks like the 4-man rotation in the outfield is still in place and so much for Lovullo's proclamation that he will use a consistent lineup (except at Catcher) for the rest of the season.

For a quickie pizza pickup, and New Jersey "pies" being the only thing I miss from back East forty years ago, I like the Brooklyn pizzas at Dominos. Their taste is authentic.
So every time I see the Rangers uniform or logo, my mouth waters for pizza.
