let's not go overboard here......
Can they do it?
No..... beat USC????Tackle? No.
No..... beat USC????
USC is playing like DOO-DOO.
They've won twice without their best player against two teams that are going to end up playing bowl games, that's not up to USC's standards but they're certainly not playing bad. ASU hasn't played well since the first half of the USC game last year so combine that with Koetter's record against ranked teams, road games, and California games and you have essentially no chance. But that's why they play the games I guess. But if ASU comes out and plays a perfect game which they havent done yet this year. But if they do they have a shot because USC is playing like DOO-DOO.
IF ASU plays BAD 44 -3 trojans
If ASU plays perfect 24 -21 devils
They haven't been the totally dominant team of the last few years, but they have pretty much controlled every game they have played.
Seriously if ASU plays like they did against CAL and ORE. ASU might get shut out.

How do you define "controlled"? They were totally dominated by Cal and Oregon on the scoreboard. Not to mention the 142 yards total offense at home versus the Ducks is about as bad as it gets.
The running game looks good but the passing game is as bad as I've ever seen an ASU team and the defensive secondary is looking shockingly bad.
Hey, why not ASU, and why not this weekend?
...well because Dirk Koetter is a mental migit when it comes to game management and adjustments. Because Carpenter is not very confident. Because the defense couldn't stop a high school team. Because Koetter can't win in California. Because ASU is determined to break my heart again. Because ... its USC.
If ASU really does switch to using the run more, and if ASU doesn't turn the ball over, the Devils can be in this game into the 4th quarter.
Can they do it?
