Now that UCLA has a legit NFL QB, the LA schools are interchangeably 1 and 2 in this division.

OL yes not the DL UCLA is down a couple of guys and UA is getting holes.

Along with the bad snaps and stuff UA has also been hurt by coaching. The last 2 drives of the half UA is running at will and 3 throws in a row leads to a pick, and then Rich Rod sits on the clock and winds up with a missed FG.

Hell even the 2nd throw UCLA was just sitting on it I said out loud if he keeps throwing we're going to pick it.

I guess he doesn't want to be predictable but I'm a big believer in keep doing it until they stop it.
oh believe me coaching plays into it. Rodriguez would rather have 10 good 5'10 WR's while having a MWC defensive line. But most UA fans expect that, it's been his MO forever. It's why he'll always win but never win a Natty. But it's UA so as long as he wins I'm happy.

Well this was just strategy though. The way the 2nd half has started those 2 drives are now huge.

If they get even 10 points there this game much closer now.

Still not over but one gets the impression the missed FG and XP will doom UA. Seems like it always does.

Should add, this game is a whole different game if UA's C could snap the ball. I get that he's new to the position but it's had a huge impact on the game

I actually agree. Bundage (converted guard) was directly responsible for one turnover and killed the momentum on 2-3 other drives. Problem is there's no one else behind him.

We got our butts kicked, but still a weird game including the snapping. I didn't think it was possible to be down 28 points at half with 212 yards of rushing.

Since we aren't doing anything this year I'd like to see Randall start one game just for the helluva it.

This is one game. Season is not over. We're not going to the playoffs, but can still win 8-9 games.

Randall has a worse throwing arm than BJ Denker, and Anu has 11 TDs 0 picks on the season. He's still one of the top QBs in the conference.

He just got knocked into next month. There's absolutely no reason to push him.

Scooby out with sprained foot, Anu officially day-to-day and a bevy of other injuries.

No bye week is really helping this team :sarcasm:

They're toast... So is ASU. I think UofA will be fortunate to get out of this season with 3 losses. I think ASU will be lucky to only lose 4!

This is a 7-5 team if this trend of injuries continues; maybe even 6-6. I said earlier that the worst thing that could possibly happen is that the team starts getting hurt, particularly injuries to its best players. Scooby and Anu being out simultaneously is just buzzard's luck.

At this point, Greg Byrne is going to have a fan raffle for a chance to start at MLB.

I think the Cats surprise and beat Stanford. They will use their speed advantage and run, run, run.

Any chance Scooby hangs around for his senior year if he struggles when he comes back? Suppose I'll answer that... No.

Depends on his draft grade. As it stands, he's a 2nd day guy. If he thinks that's sufficient, he'll likely leave. If not, he'll stick around. He's one player that I feel like if he stays, he can make an argument that he's a legit first-round pick.

Side note: Cayleb Jones is gonzo at the end of the season.

And Stanford will use their huge talent advantage and run, run, run all over our MWC front 7. This one's going to get ugly. 42-17 if Anu doesn't play. 52-28 if he does.

Goal at this point should be 7 wins and the AD offering Rich Rod a bonus in the offseason for every time he recruits someone on the defensive side of the ball.

Not sure how many teams can win the week after their top two players get injured. Stanford controlling the pace and Arizona doesn't have a healthy QB who can score points and keep the defense honest. Anu hits Phillips in the corner of the end zone while Randall throws it into the stands.

We need a healthy Scooby Wright just for this defense to be mediocre. It will be interesting to see how many points we give up in conference play this year.

BTW--if I hear someone comment about a "cupcake" schedule, I'm going to punch them in the face. 13 straight weeks of football without time to refocus and recover from injury is awful for s bunch of 18-22 year olds. Byrne had the opportunity to schedule a P5 team, but declined because he couldn't convince the conference to help fix the lack of BYE week. If anything, I hope this is the final season that the PAC-12 allows this to happen.

No bye week? That's crazy!
