Peja's a free agent at the end of the year, which IMO makes this a pretty bad deal for the Pacers, other than freeing up dollars.

I think this will really help the Kings. Bibby, Artest, Kevin Martin, Shareef, and Miller is a nice starting 5.

I still don't think they will make the playoffs.

Artest was recently quoted something along the lines of "I haven't been staying in shape."

I am so furious that the Sixers didn't make a deal for Artest. Our hands were tied true, but damn! I guess Its just the frustration at seeing another year of AI down the drain.

Wow, the Sacremento papers have been ripping Artest a newone and it seems like Sac fans really did not want Artest. I live in King land and even go to Sac games, I'm die hard Suns fan but love going to live NBA games, can't wait to see Artest play. But for the past month, the Sacremento Bee has been really ripping Artest, even on the Kings Pre-game shows they have said Sac will not touch Artest. I guess losing and having a half empty stadium changes alot of things. I do not see Artest mixing in with the Kings team attitude, they don't hustle and do not play with much heart. Their is not really a vocal leader on the team to keep Artest in line. This will be interesting.

*On another note while the King are trading, I would love for the Suns to land Skinner. Skinner would fit perfect with this Suns team. Big body who can finish, He physically man handles his opponent. He is on the block, I'm not sure what the Suns would have to give up to land him though.

Bonzi Wells when he comes back, makes it even a better starting 5

Peja in that lineup was just as good, and look where their record is.

Peja may very well help the Pacers though! If they can keep him after the offseason may turn out to be a great move for them!

About f'n time.

Good for the Kings, in that Peja will be a UFA next summer. They're not going anywhere this year, so they're getting two years of Artest at $7m per for basically nothing. That's absolutely a good risk to take IMO.

My guess is that the Kings will dump Bonzi after this year, so Artest be the team's only post threat. I like their perimeter going forward with Bibby, Artest and Kevin Martin.

I still think the Kings have some digging to do before they get back to the second tier, just because SAR has been such a disappointment. I like their team a lot better after this trade, though.

The deal was just rejected by the Kings because Artest informed them that he didnt want to play for them. According to ESPN

This is crazy... The pacers will NOT get equal value now no matter where they send Artest... His trade value was just lowered

On Sportscenter Jim Grey reported it. Its stupid that this guy requests a trade and now he seems to think he can pick where he goes too.
