No, I was just pointing out a law had been broken. Just because a law has been broken, doesn't mean that I think society as a whole, or a government should be the only ones serving out justice. I'd say, throwing a beer and someone unprovoked would be savage behavior, no?

nowhere does anyone here condone the beer throwing. yes, it was savage behavior. but do you want to mirror that behavior, or do you want to live an evolved life? if a monkey attacks you do you attack him back? no, you put him in a cage or avoid him. you don't become an animal. at least, i don't.

I might not either. I won't treat someone like an outcast if they might. If I do, or I don't, it doesn't make me any less evolved.

i could use the word "enlightened" or "civilized" if you preferred.

and i don't treat artest as an "outcast" i just don't care to associate myself with him. would you associate yourself with someone that could (a) embarrass you, (b) react with savagery against you for a smaller act of aggression (or even an act of aggression you didn't, in fact, commit), or (c) worse of all, place you, or your loved ones, in physical danger due to their actions? again, i choose not to associate myself with such an individual. i had enough of that when i was in high school and college. i'm an adult now.

I'm an adult too. :)

Lots of people resolve conflicts with violence, and some of them are warranted.

Also, there is hypocracy flowing about this topic.

Just today, (or yesterday) Steve Smith clocked Ken Lucas, breaking an orbital bone, and most people are calling him a bad ass.

Violence solves problems. Sometimes for good. Although that is bad when it does. ;)

Raja got his point across to Kobe and the NBA with a little payback violence. I'd say it was worth it to stop being bullied.

Yeah, I guess so. I meant that as a bit more violent as in for good but I was just joking. Violence is bad. Sometimes....but we're getting off topic.
